  1. Are we going to See a Almaraz vs Young Match? Should be good #1 vs #2
  2. Who would I have to talk to to be the announcer at Merrillville. I think I would do a good job.
  3. The topic has been pretty dead lately I guess it is because I'm doing a good job
  4. yeah that is part of why I did it too. But no one jumped at it. But Porras has 1 loss to Cashe. Harper has 2, 1 to Cashe and the other to Cook I Think everyone expects Porras and Harper to be in the semi state finals
  5. That is a good one I didn't even think about it like that
  6. I'm sure they could make a game about wrestling but it would be like the first UFC game real slow and 1 move at a time but I would buy it.
  7. I like to think this is the Topic where you have a guy that comes out of no where to take a title not just win one. Thurman Stone Calumet in 1999 took a title beat a runner up friday night, a undefeated guy sat. morning and avenged a semi state loss In the finals. Jason Fryar Whiteland with a lateral drop in the final :15 seconds to win against Greg Wagner. Greg Larson Hanover Central was a runner up and beat 2x state Champ Tim Meyers Bellmont. Chris Cooper Whiteland he was undefeated, but he went through Dan Bedoy Bishop Noll and Alex Dolly Mishawaka. Dolly a Indiana great and Bedoy a double national Champ. These are some real bracket busters
  8. We have to keep it going while we are still in our prime
  9. I know that is why I ended up booking it. In at 3:30am out at 7:00am.

  12. I had Galka too. I'm with Sean all the way this year
  13. Justin Woods Leo He was a Bracket Buster after watching Malone wreck the Merrillville Semi State I had him as a lock

  17. Are the same teams from last year here? Calumet, SB St. Joes, Mishawaka, Hobart, Portage, Frankfort, Lawrence Central and Griffith. It always has some great Matches Maybe a Frankie Porras vs Josh Harper. Last year was Galkas first loss to Joey Smith. What do people think Sorry Munster dropped it

  20. Font Size: Default font size Larger font size BY NATE ULRICH nate.ulrich@nwitimes.com 219.933.3374 | Wednesday, January 14, 2009 | 1 comment(s) Hobart coach Steve Balash recalls overhearing something an opposing wrestler said during a weigh-in before a recent tournament: "Man, who's that monster from Hobart?" The Hobart wrestler in question was senior Jack France. "He works hard in the weight room," Balash said of France. "He gets himself in shape. So that's what special about him: he gets himself ready." Preparation has been key to France's success throughout his career. Last season, he just missed a trip to the state tournament when he lost in the ticket round of the Merrillville Semistate. This season he has a record of 20-6, and his second-place finish in the 152-pound weight class of last Saturday's Lake County Wrestling Championships helped the Brickies win their fourth Lake County title in the past five years. France's teammates Frankie Porras (130 pounds) and Johnny Dillon (135) won titles, and Sam Camacho (125) took second. "When most people are sitting at home in the summers, I'm going to football weight lifting and going to wrestling practices in one of the toughest rooms in Indiana," said France, who also played linebacker for the Brickies. Now France and his teammates are focused on defending their Northwest Crossroads Conference title. Hobart will face Kankakee Valley in a dual at 6:30 p.m. today before competing in the NCC meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at Lowell High School. http://nwi.com/articles/2009/01/14/sports/indiana_prep_sports/doc7c6bde7e28499c928625753d0063d8f6.txt
