    Me and my assistants are going to wrestle a few times, senior division. Getting to 163... that's not going to be fun.

    I went though this on another post and that year they had 4 state champs. Right! Weinzapfel. Nosko. Wildeman. Maurer. Coughlin lost to Andre.

    That, and people will hate the best because it's the trendy thing to do. People will find the dumbest thing to complain about and complain about it. It's the same thing in pro sports with the New York Yankees, New England Patriots, LA Lakers, Jeff Gordon, and so on...

    Thanks for looking up those stats. (I would have but didn't feel like it.) People are acting like this is something new... Merrillville's dominance. It's not. It's been there for many years.

    I had a long conversation with Mr. Locke at a freestyle practice last year. I was very excited (first) to meet him and (second) to see that he wanted to be involved. He told me that his involvement would be limited due to having a child that was handicapped. He did not explain the details, and frankly, it isn't mine or anyone else's business. Get your facts straight before you start slamming me or anyone else involved with my program. I'm sorry that former wrestlers from this program don't like the way things have gone before I got here, but there's nothing I can do about that except build for the future.

    I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion about who's going to win and whatnot. That being said, anyone who thought that someone other than Chalfant would win a state championship at HWT is a stone cold fool. Mind-boggling that somone would pick against him.
