  1. Kudos to Dekalb for winning the West Noble sectional. They had a few clutch upsets to go with their 1-4 multitude of placers.
  2. Oh, no! He was a good one for a long time. Eternal Memory!
  3. Ok, East Chicago and West Noble. Please cough up brackets on behalf of an old coach who had toiled away in both of your sectionals for a good amount of rough years. I know you can do it and you know it is the next right thing to do.
  4. I solemnly predict that the IHSAA postseason will come together tomorrow and that we will have our expected postseason wrestling as desired and intended. If I am wrong, please pm me so I can accept your e-money. Thank you.
  5. Good job on your NECC bracket busters this weekend!
  6. That pin was crazy. I had just finished watching it on a technique DVD at the time and was mindblown to see it live in the finals. If I recall, it was a crackdown stack.
  7. Of course I am. They used to battle right along with Prairie Heights for the Westview sectional for a number of years.
  8. Merrillville/Portage was a recent headknocker. Mishawaka/Penn: then, now, forever. An old team regional favorite of mine was Prairie Heights and Elkhart Memorial. Dekalb/East Noble? Morton/Gavit was good before the Hammond schools did their mash-up. Chesterton/Crown Point two years ago.
  9. Looks very nice, Joe. Very easy to read and reference.
  10. I I never see the double trouble anymore. It is in some bar drinking Old Forester with the long sitout, I think.
  11. The upset of Malone from Riley was big. Shire from East Noble in the finals was also big news.
  12. Nevermind; North Side Gym in Elkhart only holds just over 7,300. It used to hold 8,200 and was the largest HS gym in the country before renovations.
  13. Weird how the article written by a staffer of the Indy Star confuses team and individual state locales and completely leaves out the Conseco history.
  14. Aha! That would have never crossed my mind. Thank you so much for clearing that up.
  15. Hello, Although it is rare, I have seen wrestlers put in near-fall criteria without a previous takedown or control/choice occurring. However, in my reviewing a match score between New Prairie's Jeffrey Huyvaert and Penn's Wesley Harper, I saw Huyvaert chose neutral to start the 3rd period. He was awarded an escape without takedown points scored for Harper. How is this possible?
  16. Saw it and edited. Thank you for the post as well.
  17. Whoops; Ocampo wins 7-0. Track had it flipped at first.
  18. Love ya Genny, and I am a firm believer in Brother Sam, but ya'll need to get to Trackside and lay it down until the Panther stable makes some more room.
  19. I like Smith. He looks like he can beat anyone at anytime in close matches. You have to be able to open up on him and that doesn't look easy to me.
