  1. Wednesday RTC 6:30-8 door 21 We have had some great groups. Let’s come in a get after it. We have an awesome clinician coming in Wednesday. Cody LeCount Wrestled at Perry Meridian High School where his team won three high school state titles. 184-2 High School Career Record 2x IHSAA State Champ 1x IHSAA State Runner-Up 2012 Fargo freestyle National Runner up 2010 Schoolboy National Champ where he pinned Bo Nickal in the finals. Wrestled in college at NCAA Division 1 Central Michigan and Marian University Cody is the new Head Coach at Delta High School
  2. Looking forward to having CJ here Wednesday night at Franklin RTC Practice starts at 6:30 and goes till 8 pm CJ is a multiple time NCAA ALL AMERICAN FOR NEBRASKA AND A FOUR TIME INDIANA HIGH SCHOOL STATE CHAMP.

  4. Looking forward to live three man mini tournament tomorrow night 6:30-8 pm enter door 21 at Franklin community high school Franklins RTC will be a satellite weigh in for the Indiana Open this weekend at Howe HS. Coach Tonte will record and send in your weight after practice Wednesday!
  5. Wednesday night at 6:30. Live round robin free tournament. We will put kids in groups of three and wrestle a free round robin tournament. Get some great matches in both freestyle and Greco. Look forward to seeing you there Wednesday night.

RTC ON WEDNESDAY- I am excited to announce that BRANDON JAMES will be running our RTC. Brandon has a big list of credentials 3 x Fargo FREESTYLE All American Super 32 All American 4x IHSAA State Placewinner 2x Disney Duals All American and 1x Disney Duals Outstanding Wrestler Brandon Spent a summer training at the Olympic Training Center He was a USA WRESTLING Preseason national champ In college Brandon was a D1 Wrestler at Old Dominion and at Indiana University. He was a Big Ten athlete Brandon was a NAIA ALL AMERICAN FOR MARIAN UNIVERSITY WHERE HE TOOK 3rd IN THE COUNTRY. We are looking forward to Brandon running RTC

  12. So sad to hear the news yesterday of my long time Uindy (Indiana Central)college buddy Paul Logan passing. In my nearly five years at Warren Central I was able to reconnect with North Centrals outstanding Athletic Director in MIC competition. Always a a stand up guy with positive things to say. A great football player back in his Uindy days but even a better person. From the Franklin Community wrestling and athletic program as well as the Tonte family we pray for his family in such a trying time. Even more prayers as we deal with this invisible enemy that took Paul’s life. RIP Greyhound brother.

Enter door 21 Another Wednesday that will be off the chain This weeks Regional Training Center features Nick Ellis, Asst coach at Marian University. Nick was a high state placewinner at Roncalli for his dad, 4x state champ Lance Ellis. Also we will have College All American Brandon James (just finished 3rd in the country) and All American Colton Gonzales as well as national qualifiers Brett Johnson and Jack Servies. Also State Champ Noah Warren and state placewinner Kain Rust. All these wrestlers and coaches currently represent Marians team. I have heard from many of the studs that were here last week and it looks like all are coming back plus more. In fact, Bloomington South is packing up their bus and bringing the team It's folkstyle state week so we are going to have a good hard preparation practice. Be prepared to wrestle lots of live gos. Coaches, let me know if you are coming. As always I like to let everyone know what competition we have coming in. Look forward to seeing you all on the mat, All for love and victories Coach Tonte

  16. The room keeps getting deeper with studs tonight. Let's get here. 6 pm Tonight's RTC is shaping up to be a good one Four Perry Meridian stars will be in the house. State champ Alex Cottey and multiple state placewiiner Aidan Warren will be there. Also state runner up, who darn near shocked the world, Mathew Koontz will be here representing the Falcons. Freshman standout Toby Billerman from Perry is also making the trip. Roncalli state champ Brayden Lowery will be in the house as well as his brother, Bryce Lowery, 3rd place finisher is this years state meet. Semi state qualifier and highly ranked stud Kody Glithero from Roncalli will be lacing the shoes up tonight. All of these guys to go along with four state qualifiers Tyler Fuqua, Harris Eason, Jalen Ward and Jacob Johnson from Franklin. I will keep you updated on other top level kids.

Let's get after it. One suggestion is to grab partners from another school and get different looks. Coaches and wrestlers, if you know you are bringing some kids post on here or contact Coach Tonte.   20. F riday November 22nd, Franklin Community will wrestle Jeffersonville on the stage in the auditorium. It will be a fun time loaded with light shows, fog, walkout songs and a camera above the mat the will show three huge screens as well as the live event. Screen one will be behind the mat on the stage taking up the entire backdrop while screens 2 and 3 will be on the side walls of the auditorium. Watch in surround view. And, its alumni night so all former Franklin Wrestlers are invited for special recognition. Following the meet there will be a reception for the alumni at The Willard, in downtown Franklin. Come see an exiting event. Festivities and wrestling start at 5:15 pm
  21. I don't even know where to start. This breaks me. Mike was brash. Mike was tough. Mike might have ticked some people off. But he was a dear friend and most of all he would do anything, anything humanly possible for kids. And especially kids who needed more guidance, more support and more love. Miss you coach.
