What’s your pre match or some interesting f pre match rituals? when I was in HS, the whole team would get in a pile on the mat, big circle, and talk about random things... girls in the bleacher, other teams managers, food after the meet, things that I’d get banned for.... and then we’d stand and our 135 would start talking about the match, and get louder and louder until he was screaming at us in the middle of our huddle, again things that would get me banned, up to a fever pitch and stream of non stop screaming and obscenities that lead directly into “bears on 3!1-2-3 Bears!” my daughter is more reserved. She gets quiet. Wants left alone. All she does is takes her warmups off, and comes to me, we double hand slap each other and she goes to the nat and says a small prayer slaps her thighs and steps to line

Campbell-Petrov is the reason my daughter wrestles. Her first experience beyond a tv screen with the sport, and she sat with Brendens family and got to know them. She bawled her eyes out when he lost. Ayersman-Campbell from 2011 finals was pretty amazing too.

In some cases, there were kids who weren’t even wrestling 4 years ago.

They weren’t full Wrestle backs. Was just to 5th place. Fergusen took 5th at SS.

Matt Jaggers, New Castle vs Russel Smiley, Warren Central. Both returning SQ, Smiley had placed and was a returning SS champ. FCfighter might correct me but I believe Smiley was up 2-1 and jaggers hit a reversal or TD plus 2 NF and won 5-2, went on to win SS and take 5th.
