  1. Crown Point actually was winning 2 matches after 132 but some our kids got caught in that dual... 152, 285. We also won at 160. You can think what you want right now. But the dogs, In my opinion, are unstoppable right now. Also a much better tournament team than dual team.
  2. I think there’s a team up in the region that begs to differ.
  3. Final Predictions: 106- #1 Goin (CP) vs #3 Miller (BB) 113- #10 Frazier (CP) vs #12 Haines (BB) 120- #2 Bettich (CP) vs #4 Diaz (Wheeler) 126- #3 Montgomery (BB) vs #11 Roberson (CP) 132- #1 Mendez (CP) vs ? 138- #3 Campbell (BB) vs #4 Goodwin (CP) 145- #11 Cruz (CP) vs Ison (BB) 152- #5 Douglas (Attica) vs #11 Cookerly (BB) 160- #5 Asbury (BB) vs #9 Hollendonner (CP) 170- #8 Glover (BB) vs Taborski (CP) 182- Up in the air 195- #9 Street (BB) Vs Mcelroy (CP) 220- #10 Jones (BB) vs Woods (CP) 285- #1 Keys vs ? 3/14 #1 guys at this tournament. 17 top 5 ranked guys
  4. Detroit Catholic Central & Crown Point were undefeated. Dekalb lost to both. Oak park lost to Detroit catholic central and crown point also.
  5. Dual started at 182, Dekalb started off winning first 4 with 3 pins and 1 dec (Dekalb was leading 21-0). After that Sammy Goin then pinned #16 kid in the country. Logan Frazier followed with a pin. Dekalb decided to forfeit to Riley Bettich following that (21-18). Stephen Roberson then won by decision over #7 ranked kid at 126 in IL, tying the dual. Jesse Mendez then won 21-7, followed my a cody Goodwin pin. Orlando Cruz decisioned his ranked opponent (34-21). Seth Willems gave up a major making the score 34-25. Noah Hollendonner then wrestled a fargo champ and lost 4-2 (34-28). The dual ended with nick Taborski giving up a decision resulting in a final score of 34-31, dogs win. Dogs also beat Last year nationally ranked Oak Park by a point.
  6. Crown Point just beat #17 nationally ranked Dekalb, and also beat Oak Park. Went 3-0 on day in Illinois. Goin pinned nationally ranked kid.
  7. Goin over Chundi 3-1 SV. Chundi dropped to 106. That was a potential #1 vs #2 106 matchup
  8. No he’s right.. that tourney looks awful this year
  9. I like to get the hall rolling on different subjects. Here’s my top 5 freshman list, interested in seeing others opinions.. 1. Sam Goin (Crown Point) 2. Christian Carroll (Penn) 3. Logan Frazier (Crown Point) 4. Aiden Torres (Chesterton) 5. Cody Goodwin (Crown Point) Not hearing abt too many freshman from the south other than Schoff.
  10. Interested in seeing who’s got the toughest conference in the state this upcoming year? Up here in the region it’s definitely the DAC conference... Crown Point, Hobart, Chesterton, Merriville, and Portage.
  11. The bulldogs started off the season looking great today. CP looked dominate in a 61-12 win over Portage. Jake Woods started off the dual winning a great match to begin crown points run. Damari Dancy then pinned his CP opponent to take Portages only lead of the night, 6-3. Goin, and Frazier got pins in the following matches. At 120 Ty Haskins received a forfeit. Stephen Roberson then got the fall, followed with Jesse Mendez also getting a pin. CP continued dominating, winning the next 6 duals. Great first showing for the dogs. Interested in seeing how they match up with Chesterton in December.
  12. This should be a very intense matchup taking place at Portage tmw night. NW Indiana’s biggest rivalry! The dogs return 4 state qualifiers in Stephen Roberson(7th),Riley Bettich(5th),Jesse Mendez (1st), and Noah Hollendonner (SQ), the dogs also have the first 6 weights ranked top 2 in the semi state . Portage Returns two state qualifiers in Ty Haskins and Damari Dancy. The best match ups of the night may include Bettich and Haskins at 120, both state ranked, and possibly a couple of the heavier weight matches. Here’s my prediction for the dual: 106- Sam Goin (CP) over Miles Conrad (P) CP-6 P- 0 113- Logan Frazier (CP) over Adam Partin (P) CP- 12 P-0 120- Riley Bettich (CP) over Ty Haskins (P) CP- 16 P-0 126- Stephen Roberson (CP) over Lucas Underwood (P) CP- 22 P-0 132- Jesse Mendez (CP) over Bradly Conrad (P) CP- 27 P-0 138- Cody Goodwin (CP) over Alex Cornejo (P) CP 32 P 0 145- Orlando Cruz (CP) over Tyler Herrig (P) CP- 35 P- 0 152- Seth Willems (CP) over Devan Howard (P) CP- 38 P-0 160- Noah Hollendonnor (CP) over Issac Hegwood (P) CP- 41 P- 0 170- Nick Taborski (CP) over Trevor Albee (P) CP-44 P- 0 182- Christian Dantonio (P) over Aaron Ayala (CP) CP- 44 P- 3 195- Dejuan Washington (P) over Matt McElroy (CP) CP- 44 P-6 220- Brandon Waytovich (P) over Jake Woods (CP) CP-44 P-12 HWT- Damari Dancy (P) over Jackson Ruess (CP) CP-44 P-18
