TRUDiabetic reacted to Mat Shark in Best Neutral Wrestler
B. Lee is very smooth on his feet and being that fluid as a lefty simply baffles high school kids. It appears he is simply drilling during live matches.

B. Lee makes takedowns look to easy even against great defensive wrestlers.

TRUDiabetic reacted to EazyBLACK7 in Class Wrestling - Potential Benefits
if small schools want success start a club and build from there if that's what it takes. But I feel separating by class takes away from winning a title for all classes. Maybe I'm wrong if all the top kids wrestle year round and meet in the off season they know who's best I suppose but I still say it's not as special winning a title in a class system. I believe in 1 state 1 champion per weight. I watched my brother finish runner up over the weekend to a 2A kid. If it were classed he would have obviously won. I would have rather watched him get 2nd in a single class system than to win a "1A state title". Just my thoughts on it.

TRUDiabetic reacted to Mat Shark in Class Wrestling - Potential Benefits
Sure divide our state by 3 and have each state champ have barely over 100 kids to start the state series.
Why not destroy the strength of our state tournament as we now starting to get national attention and respect?
This is a terrible idea.

TRUDiabetic reacted to bluechipper in 2017' Mr. Gorilla
Andrew Davison. He's a senior who capped off his career with a 42-0 season and state championship. He pinned his way through the tournament (with an injury default in the semis). He's had a pretty high level of competition over the course of this year. He has an impressive national resumé as a Fargo champion and double All-American. His character and class is tremendous along with his grades as I believe he also made Senior Academic All-State. He'd be one I would vote for.

At New Castle I'd give this title to Mason Parris. He made very good wrestlers look completely outclassed. He did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. Takedown, cut - takedown pin. It was that easy for him. He's just on another level.
My second place vote would have to go to Shenandoah's Josh Gee. Gee didn't win the final match, but for an unranked kid that's never been to state to knock out the No. 3 and the No. 4 ranked guys in his weight class, in order - was impressive.
This was my first time seeing Alec Viduya as well. That kid is a beast.
