    Tobias (Northwood) over Wenk (Jay County) at 182 at FW 9-8. At the very end they gave him a 3 point nearfall; however, the ref only swiped 3 times. Wenk was clearly not exposed for 5 seconds. Tough to see a guy lose that way but you cannot get thrown in the last 10 seconds.

    If there was no Zeke Seltzer... Would Ison v Schoeff be the greatest rivalry of all time? They arguably would’ve wrestled in the finals last year, would potentially meet in the finals this year, have next year as well, and could have wrestled 15+ times in HS going back and fourth. Where would it rank with no Seltzer and 3 years at the same weight?

    Any predictions for the ACAC on Friday? After looking at the brackets it looks like AC may have a decent shot to take out Jay County.

    My understanding was current rules state they would be separated the whole season. For instance, girls cannot play on the boys soccer team during the regular season and including the postseason.

    After listening to Robert Faulkins on the WZBD Show I had a few questions. 1. He mentioned he is waiting for the Coaches Association in the Spring to submit a wrestling proposal to consider it an emerging sport. I thought this had been submitted previously? 2. He mentioned he is looking for 120+ schools with 5+ wrestlers on the team. How likely/how soon are we to get to that point for girls wrestling in the state? 3. He mentioned if there is an IHSAA girls and boys season that current rules state that girls would not be allowed to compete in the boys season. Is it such that they could not compete or they would have to pick one and not compete in both? 4. What are the pros to sanctioning girls wrestling as an IHSAA sport? Team state this past weekend ran amazing and the structure is much better than it was as an IHSAA entity. Is it a necessity for girls wrestling to be IHSAA sanctioned in order to reach its fullest potential?

    Two Scenarios: 1. Could 2A Champ Belmont also win the 3A bracket? They were 4.5 points behind Columbus East at the Al Smith and 8 of their wrestlers outscored Columbus East in their respective weight class. 2. Could the 1A-3A champs Tell City, Belmont, and Columbus East “All Star Team” beat 4A champ Crown Point?

    Is the rule literally just you cannot take your straps down while on the mat? If so this played a big part in Crown Point beating Brownsburg.

    It looks like a handful of them are archived. Right now 162. You can also go back and watch the whole replay of a mat. Fairly easy since the brackets lay out what mat the match was on.
