  1. I think IU has to look at the early success of Ersland at Purdue and see the possibilities. The Hoosiers have some good wrestlers, sad to see Molloy and a few others not on the roster anymore though.
  2. Thanks Blue! Cam Coffman(132)Union County, Colton Handley(126)Northeastern and Clark Minges(hwt) all were SS qualifiers last year, look for them to make the next step this year.
  3. Union County is at East Central tonight and New Castle on Saturday. Northeastern is hosting Cambridge City tonight and will be at Union City on Saturday.
  4. Yep National Trail is an Ohio school about 5-10 min east of Richmond. They have 2 brothers, Ben & Zach Sullivan who both placed at the Ohio DIII state finals last year.
  5. I think Northeastern will have a few competitors in the TEC. At 126 Colton Handley has to be one of the favorites. Quest Schwab(160) & Chace Moseley(195) also will be tough.
  6. I agree with ET1, Union County will drop because of those 3 forfeits. Just too many points to give away, will make it tough to compete for a TEC title as well. As far as D McClurg, he isn't wrestling this year.
  7. Smalls, in the match i saw Randolph Southern only had 4 wrestlers.
  8. Union county probably lacks the numbers to compete for a conference title, forfeiting 3-4 weights. But Cam Coffman, Cole Bowers and Clark Minges all look ready to make a deep run this year.
  9. At union County today, there is Eastern Hancock, Knightstown, Rushville, Connersville, Randolph Southern and Union County

  11. Indeed, health first! My daughter is Type 1, it's a never ending battle. Good luck Klayton!
  12. I think Union County is gonna be a juggernaut in the TEC this year. Loads of talent returning.

  14. Thanks for the updates! Glad he'll be ready to go.
  15. Saw he had to forfeit some matches due to injury at the EIWA Championships. Anyone know any injury details? It would be a shame to see him miss the NCAA's.
  16. I know the saying "can't leave it up to the officials", but it sure seemed like Howe did everything to win that match! I'm not an official...just a long time wrestler, fan & spectator of wrestling and it sure seemed like a garbage decision. Good luck in the NCAA's Andrew.
  17. Hayden wins!!! Ohio Division 1 State Champ at 113lbs. Congratz Hayden.
  18. I know this is an Indiana wrestling site, but I thought I'd mention Hayden is wrestling in the 113lb Ohio State Championship match tomorrow against Jose Rodriguez. Should be another great match between these two.
  19. Christian Cox(Hagerstown) pinned Ryan Mitts(East Central) in 13 seconds at the Richmond Regional
  20. I'd love to see the college out-of-bounds rule adopted! It takes away many of those questionable/close calls and rewards the offensive wrestler for controlling his opponent no matter where they are on the mat.
  21. Is Jesse Newton(Lin) wrestling? Heard he couldnt make weight at TEC. If true, moving up a class?
  22. Haha that's a scary thought! I had heard it was bad down there too.
  23. Thoughts from last night's TEC tournament: kudos to Coach Briggs, Coach Matthews & the rest of the Union Co folks who did a tremendous job given the circumstances. Congrats to all the wrestlers on their great effort. Congratulations to Centerville on a well deserved TEC title. I had some issues with the officiating, thought it was, at times awful. But it will just seem like sour grapes if I dwell too much on it. Well done boys, good luck to all in the Sectionals.
