We have topics on several weights already. Lets have one on each and hear everyone's thoughts on the weight class. I don't know many here but Wes Bernard has developed his own style of hwt wrestling this year and looks great. He is actually fun to watch. I dont really see anyone beating him but who knows.

We have topics on several weights already. Lets have one on each and hear everyone's thoughts on the weight class. Gelen is the clear favorite. What happens after 1st place here?

We have topics on several weights already. Lets have one on each and hear everyone's thoughts on the weight class. Lots of movement at this weight class. Rypel is fun to watch and can never be counted out. I am not familiar with Eldridge but the others at 1-6 are all right in there.

We have topics on several weights already. Lets have one on each and hear everyone's thoughts on the weight class. I know McCloskey is a favorite but there are several others here that may stand in his way. 2-7 on the rankings can take each other on any given day.

We have topics on several weights already. Lets have one on each and hear everyone's thoughts on the weight class. We may get to see an awesome match with LeCount and Forte. Both are deserving of a state championship and it will be hard to watch one fall. This match has been debated to death. Who else in this weight will make the podium?

We have topics on several weights already. Lets have one on each and hear everyone's thoughts on the weight class. James took a loss last week to Lykins. Lykins is bigger but it shows James is more vulnerable than I thought. I think Wilson will match up nicely with James and we will see a brawl.

We have topics on several weights already. Lets have one on each and hear everyone's thoughts on the weight class. IMO, there are several comparable kids at the top of this one. At team state last week, the #7 Elliott gave #1 Smith all he could handle. Not counting Pepple or Crary out either for sure. Several other guys who will be right in there.
  11. The timekeeper was not a child, it was a man at least 30 years old. If you volunteer to do a job, it is still expected that the job be done correctly. A similar thing happened with the Warren coaches in the final match. I don't think they yelled much but they definitely got a bit mad at the table for not keeping time right. In close matches, everyone needs to be doing their job.
  12. Some from Westfield not mentioned yet: Turner over Slates 10-5 Bailey over Weimer Dec Egli over Weimer tech Cottey over Schermer dec Knapp over Schermer dec Knapp over A Johnson 5-4 Schermer over Matt McKinney 12-7 D Wilson over Broukal 6-2 Zack Davis over Kenny in OT James over Broukal major Lykins over Pruitt fall Lykins over Seng 5-4 Jacob Stephenson over Austin Smith 3-2 Borta over Hiestand 6-3 Petrole over Warman 3-1 OT Rypel over Wiseman 10-0 Wiseman over Koehrig 4-2 Slatton over Warman 7-3
  13. Did you do first round breakdowns? I thought you just made first round picks then did breakdown on semis.
  14. Wonderful news!! Will he be back at 170?
  15. Warren lost to Cathedral. Portage did not beat Cathedral. Westfield lost to someone at Traicoff so they aren't 13-0. I assume several of these results are incomplete or incorrect.
  16. Will this be available to view later? I couldn't get into it and I know other people had trouble.
  17. Please list Penn's line up that this prediction is based on.
  18. Pruitt wrestled until the injury. Why didn't the others wrestle? Cathedral football players finished their season at the same time and they were there.
  19. Hopefully before the Colts game
  20. I think you will see a big difference between 182 at Fargo and 182 in state. Just sayin!
  21. Which upper weight freshman have a legitimate shot at placing next year? Not to take anything away from the 106/113 guys but those are predominately younger groups anyway. There have been a few bigger freshman that were fun to watch this year. I am wondering who will hang with the big boys next year.
  22. Middle school state finals were exciting to watch Breyden Bailey stood out with a great day and a pin in the finals Colton Cummings- wow, wow, wow. This kid is non-stop Jason Crary looked good. Brayton Lee was just phenomenal! Very fun to watch. He may just be a 7th grader though Alston Bane showed that extra work pays off in a dominating final. Andrew Davison had a strong win over Stambaugh at 150 Bryce Baumgartner looked great with his 13-0 final win
  23. Excellent post Coach Miracle.
  24. Sure, that theory works for the one that makes it. For the one that doesn't though, it will be pretty rough watching 14 other guys that he could likely beat (just assuming based on rankings) go to state because they got a better draw. Not only is it bad for that individual but it is bad for the sport. I don't know much about this particular weight class, I just saw the bad match up based on the ranking. I know those aren't perfect and anything can happen in any match but it still a decent baseline for my point. I'm all for "life is not fair", etc but come on.
  25. It is a shame that either the # 2 or 3 ranked 285 isn't going to State.
