  1. Sorry if I offended anyone it was just an old lady's opinion, I will be back cheering for my Bulldogs in Evansville this weekend. Best of luck to Beam!
  2. I couldn't disagree more Rodriguez set the pace the whole match the call was premature in my opinion. We were in town to watch a friends son at a different weight, but this match as well as the match Beam wrestled before were both decided by one point, both matches wrestled on the edge of the mat with numerous leaps out of bounds with no calls. Just a shame that they didn't toe the line for one last take down.
  3. Da Burg with three impressive freshman this year.... Catch a ride on the pain train !
  4. Agreed if they are healthy this could be a good year for Chesterton
  5. Chesterton will have two good freshman coming in with Davison and Lemly. a few other names not sure where they are from and in no order Cody Crary Myles Krintz Zach Fatore
  6. l'm not sure about Krintz just heard it the stands Sunday, I figured they would both be headed to New Pal.
  7. B. Lee and M. Krintz 1st and 3rd at 132 MS state last weekend both train with Coach Red both headed to Brownsburg ?
  8. My grandson informed me that the Outlaws topped Golden Cross to win the MS team title at Walton Verona's Bearcat Brawl. Looks like there were alot of Indiana boys making some noise this weekend
  9. Colton Cummings will be very tough to beat at 106 so will Egli I would love to see these guys battle it out in the final.
  10. Saw Breighton Lee at a camp this summer he was almost 105 then I doubt he goes 91
  11. Hats off to everyone at Peru the tournament ran very smooth this year, Great Job!
  12. CJ Red is that good, and I wouldnt be surprised to see him win multiple titles either the people you were talking too arent to far out of line on that.
  13. a coach I know has a habit of saying "dont just lie there" he finally got an this answer from a kid after the kid got pinned " Coach, I just got tired and needed a 3 second break!" The wrestler then recieved a two week break and missed 4 meets. Lesson learned!!
  14. I have seen this problem as well but as for me I love satelite weigh-ins, I actually used to try and take my boys to these before they hit high school. I hated to drive an hour to a meet weigh in by 8 and then wait around until 10:30 or 11 to wrestle that first match of the day. We ran a couple small local meets like 250 to 300 kids about 6 yrs ago, we did faxed weights from clubs only back then and I helped with pairings. We started our first match at 9am and finished around 2pm. Maybe things have changed or we were just lucky but I dont recall having these issues, I think its the only way to go. Heres my two cents accept the weights make the brackets then run all wrestlers acrossed the scale at skin checks cover the tenths and if the dont make weight they scratch, simple. My sons did local and national events back in the day and we loved them all its a great time for all involved. I believe the local meets are the grass roots of this sport not all families can afford to do the national scene and lets face it most kids in the first couple years just arent ready for that level yet, there are exceptions of course. The fact that they are only local meets doesnt make them any less important to the sport or the young wrestlers. Most of these kids may never be good enough to compete at a large national but the lessons this great sport can teach can be learned at all skill levels thankfully. Im just glad we had the chance to share this sport with our sons at all levels, and now to see them wrestle the friends that they made along the way now in high school, well thats when it hits you, its about the fun they had and the freinds they made.
