    The 04-05 Avon team that was runners up was NAILS. Lynn Panko is currently still special ops in the army. The 06-07 Avon team was also very good with 7 state qualifiers I believe. Dealt with injuries and flu the week of team state that year! So many great team out there that never could get over the hurdle of winning that state title!

    Any ranking from any other website are irrelevant. Especially the team side @decbell1 does the rankings, the vote in, and the seeding. His team opinions are the ones that matter. And no one does it like the rankings crew @Y2CJ41 has built!

    Somewhere between 5-10. They have the opportunity to prove it next week, just think it’s interesting they finished 4th in the end of season points to become an auto qualifier but haven’t been ranked at 2A all year. The gap between 2A and 1A powers is not as big as it was last year IMO.

    2004-2005 Avon IHSAA Runner Up 2013-2014 Avon no team state. Probably the best dual team Avon had after 2005 or 2007. IMO 2014-2015 Avon 5th at IHSCWA, only loss to penn in pool play in a barn burner believe over Penn got 3rd. 2017-2018 Avon IHSAA Runner ups. I might be wrong on the year here may have been the 2016-2017 team. Avon has had an amazing stretch where they have been highly competitive from 2003 until now!     South Adams has definitely put themselves in a great position to get in! The bluffton win is huge!

    Rochester and AC both beat us last year however we did beat AC at Disney. 1A at the top is TOUGH! We are 12-0 with 11 more duals before team state! We are excited to continue to challenge ourselves the next few weeks to get ready for a run at the top spot! #thecounty

    For those who think the HCC is weak you’re wrong. It has been a tough conference since 2011 and earlier. My junior year I finished 4th at 126. 1st Jack Chastain HSE State Placer 2nd Preston Mantel Zionsville State Placer 3rd AJ Belden Westfield State Placer 4th Quinn Harris Avon State Qualifier These big schools all have their own studs and it makes for a great day of wrestling every year!
