  5. I don't think anyone not involved directly with east's program know anything about where the reikers are going but I am assuming they stay put. If they do go down a weight class then the only one of my predictions to change is Gast JC champ @ 135 instead of reiker
  6. 160 will be between Holt and Johnson, unless Baldwin is back from that injury. Brown County's Cline over Young is a bold statement, I also believe CN's 215 majored Cline. I think the rest of your predictions are right on the money barring the before mentioned ones, Also Aimers CN pinned CE's 145 but it was on reversal after being taken down so it could have been Stillinger just got "caught" . Look out for Gomez CN @ 119 I don't think he will beat Taylor but if he hadn't given up a takedown and 3 backpoints against Carlile at the start of the match he could have probably pulled out the win as he outwrestled him for the rest of the match, but that is simpler said then done .
  7. I predict that east will win the sectional. Jennings county is going to have to hope some of the other teams knockout some east wrestlers in order to win. 13. Netherton, Martin spark solid FC conference showing Franklin Central turned in a marked improvement from a year ago during competition at the 2011 Conference Indiana Wrestling Championships contested on Lawrence Central mats on Saturday, January 15. Nine of Franklin Central?s entries in the 14 weight divisions turned in top-tier finishes by placing fourth or better on the day, fueling the Flashes to a No. 4 team finish among the eight-school field. The collective effort represented a vast upgrade from last season?s dead-last conference finish. Perry Meridian successfully defended its conference championship by totaling 290 points, with the Falcons claiming nine weight-division titles. Bloomington South closed in the runner-up spot with 219 points, with Lawrence Central in third place at 162 and Franklin Central in fourth with 148. Austin Netherton and Andrice Martin both reached title-round matches for the Flashes. In the 215-pound finale, Netherton and Perry Meridian?s Logan Cooper locked horns for the third time this season, with the Falcons? senior winning the rubber match and the conference title on a 5-1 decision. In the season-opening Capital City Classic at Perry Meridian, Netherton dropped a semifinal-round decision to Cooper, with the Flashes? senior gaining the upper hand in the Marion County Championships at Lawrence Central by edging Cooper 5-3 in the championship bout. En route to earning a berth in the conference title round, Netherton opened with a 5-1 decision over Lawrence Central sophomore Steven Cox and shouldered Bloomington South senior Colton Dixon in 5:02 in the semifinal round. At 119 pounds, Martin and Lawrence Central?s Max Brutus put together one of the more closely-contested championship matches, with the Bears? sophomore trimming his FC counterpart 6-5. Martin faced two familiar foes on the day. After defeating Bloomington North sophomore Jeremy Arthur in the first round, the Flashes? sophomore upended Perry Meridian freshman Aidan Kenny on a 7-3 decision in a semifinal-round pairing. Kenny had beaten Martin 6-4 in a quarterfinal-round match-up at the Marion County Tournament. The championship bout between Martin and Brutus also marked the second time the two had faced each other. Brutus registered a fall over Martin in a wrestle-back meeting at the county tourney. Three Franklin Central participants claimed third-place finishes during the conference extravanganza, including sophomores Kevin Groves at 125 pounds and Michael Riffle at 189, along with freshman Travis McMillian at 103. Also closing with upper-echelon performances were four FC fourth-place finishers ? seniors Kaleb Barajas at 112 pounds and Jaron Kiki at 171, and juniors Garrett Rigel at 130 and Tyler West at 285. Franklin Central?s Michael Cheh, the 285-pound weight division conference champion a year ago, was unable to defend his title due to an injury. The senior began this season by winning the Capital City Classic, before being sidelined indefinitely. Coach Gary Fox?s contingent will return to the mat on Tuesday, January 18, when FC travels to Beech Grove for a dual encounter. The Flashes will close out the regular campaign on Thursday, January 20, against visiting Roncalli. Both meets will begin at 6:30 p.m. FC placings: Second ?
