  3. I saw something like this on the Michigan Grappler and thought it was interesting. Purely for discussion and based on what has been accomplished not what is expected for the future. 4. I am glad somebody said it. What is the motivation for NFHS to lie about the data? At some point you have to adapt to change or move to Michigan. 10ldwrestler is right, it is time to move on.
  5. You do realize they don't weigh 112/119 when they make these lifts.
  6. Great Job Conner! All the hard work is paying off. The Carroll wrestling family is proud of you.
  7. Joe it sounds like you are frustrated. Give into your feelings and join me on the dark side. It's an open invitation.
  8. If you think that our kids are only working with you in the off season then you are living up to your college nickname as crazy Joe. If anything coach Jordan has been a bigger influence on our program than you. Is this why you have been kicking Carroll kids out of your room. Your my favorite roughneck but there is more going on with Carroll Wrestling then your club on Mondays and Wednesdays. Like all good programs we will not let graduation be an excuse!
  9. Extreme was at Snider High School last year, this year it's at the JAM in Garrett. I see a lot of kids from NHC schools (East Noble, Dekalb, Carroll, Columbia City) there and some from Snider. Several other schools represented well also. If you want to compete at the state level you have to wrestle year round.
  10. I was referring to FWCS system, however the Lutheran schools are not exactly putting out a lot of wrestlers couldn't field half a team. It is also my understanding that Buuck wrestled for Carroll Middle school before going to Dwenger. Same for Papernick (spelling?) of Snider. As far as the snider teams of almost a decade ago, I think they had the Blackhawk middle school program to rely on. I am not rooting against SAC schools it's where I came from, but only three kids made it to state this past year.
  11. I wrestled for an SAC school in the early 90's but I have done most of my coaching in the NHC. We moved out of the Fort Wayne area to Carroll before my oldest son got to middle school because there wasn't wrestling and it paid off for him. The Fort Wayne schools will never be relevant in wrestling. They just cut the last middle school program this past year, it will only get worse for them. The surrounding areas all have middle school wrestling and you can see them getting better and better because of clubs like roadrunner and schools like Indiana extreme. So there is light at the end of the tunnel for the Fort Wayne SS it will just have to come from the surrounding area schools.
  12. I have a very solid 189/215 that is interested, when are the duals and what is the cost?
  13. My point was to give a little background about my point of view. I can see both sides. I am confused about your last comment, are you sulking?
  14. I have a 7th grader that weighs 90 lbs and a Junior that weighs 195lbs. I think the changes are good for the sport. It seems to me that the 140 lbs weight class is what is being eliminated and the 182 lbs class is really what is being added. Skill level and speed are still a big part of 182 lbs wrestlers ex. Drake Stien, Tanner Lynde etc. I don't believe we are losing skilled wrestling classes. It would be different if they added a 350 lbs class. Now that would be boring. Just my two cents. This is only personal experience but we had 7 guys wrestling off for 171 lbs and only 1 in the 103 lbs class
  15. The kid from Texas at 119 was ranked number one in the nation. Couple of there other kids were national placers according to the program. Indiana Gold was at another level than any of the other teams there.
  16. Somebody is a little touchy. He didn't say anything about da region. Congrats Conner!
  17. Funny I didn't see you there. Spencer did get injured. We are waiting for the MRI results might be a torn LCL. I am trying to fight off the depression.
