  1. I just re-checked the brackets; In his second match, he was pinned by Eric Blodgett in 17 seconds, wrestled all the way back to the 3rd place match and beat Blodgett 7-6. That is an outstanding comeback.
  2. #1 Ayersman over #3 Crume 6-2 The Lawrence over #13 Stevens 13-5
  3. And the loudest boos I heard was when he wasn't given the takedown. I mean, Hartman took him down once(Maybe twice, don't remember) and almost got at least 2 takedowns but they both went out of bounds. Maybe Hartman wasn't the most aggressive, but he still wrestled very well. It seemed like you were attacking him and Clay as a whole in your post.
  4. I'm not sure about the first one, but Jake Fuerbringer was unseeded at 113 and upset the 4th seed, and was beating the 5th seed until he got hurt and had to injury default. Great showing by him. I'd say Pickard at 145. Seeded 2nd and didn't make it to the next day.
  5. I will agree with that too, but so was calling the bulldog out of bounds earlier. There were a lot of calls here that I may not agree with.
  6. The uncalled takedown at the edge of the mat. Both their legs were in bounds and Hartman was clearly on top. The pin was rightfully called, but if Hartman were given the takedown, he likely wouldn't have gotten neck wrenched later.
  7. Terrible call in the Hartman/molloy match.
  8. Again, we have 5 starters hurt. Jake Fuerbringer was unknown and beat the 4th seed and was beating the 5th seed until he got hurt. Zach Slough would likely be placing if he weren't hurt, Jeff Burghduf and Cody Mort could have won a few matches, and Cody Koebel could have had a chance at day 2 if he were fully healed. I'm not saying we could beat Penn or Memorial or anyone else you mentioned, but you can't say we only have 3-4 people that contribute to our points.
  9. Jimtown is 5th behind Merrillville by only 21.5 points with FIVE starters out and are ahead of #6 Mishawaka, #13 Clay, and #16 Bellmont. Looks like we're finally about to turn some heads this season.
  10. Isn't Chris at 145 and Alex at 152? 106 - #1 Nathan Boston - Lawrence North 113 - #1 Jarred Brooks - Warsaw 120 - #12 Alex Sparks - Lawrence North 126 - #3 Nick Crume - Jimtown 132 - #2 Neal Molloy - Danville 138 - #9 Tristan Macri - Mishawaka 145 - #3 Brooks Faroute - Bellmont 152 - HM Zach Sandefer - Merrillville 160 - HM Casey Adams - Jimtown 170 - #3 Sean Mappes - Center Grove 182 - #5 Tanner Adams - Jimtown 195 - #2 Kourtney Berry - Merrillville 220 - #3 Joe Gallego - South Bend Clay 285 - #3 Kade Maggart - Penn
  11. Really? Alright, then I'll change that to Hartman vs. Molloy.
  12. With the Al Smith less than a week away, what are some potential matches that you can't wait to see or think will be worth the price of admission? 1. 126 - #1 Kyle Ayersman and #3 Nick Crume. Number 1 ranked and number 3 ranked in one of the toughest weight classes across the state. Both men have the stamina to go all 3 rounds and amazing technique. I can honestly see Nick Crume on the upset, but either way, this will probably be the best match of the 2 days. 2. 195 - Any combination between # 2 Kourtney Berry, #4 Alex Skipper, #5 Ben Baker, #8 Jaylin Allen, #9 Brandon Weinkauf and #11 Austin Gibson. The most stacked weight class at the Al Smith. I see Kourtney Berry winning, but the fight for #2 could be anyone. 3. 132 - #4@138 Mitch Hartman and #5 Tommy Forte. Should be one of the marquee semi-final match-ups. I have yet to see Forte, but have heard he's a machine.. I'm predicting Hartman wins and meets #2 Neal Molloy in the finals which will probably be a good match, but with Molloy on top. 4. 138 - #9 Tristan Macri and #11 Brayden Moreau. I am betting on Tristan by major decision. In my mind, the kid is under-ranked, he's solid!
  13. That wasn't Emelio. That wa our back-up 138, Marquis Sheiber.
  14. Pretty sure it was Ginter and I think he went 2-3.
  15. Yeah, she won 7-0. Oddly Franko led the match against Davis for almost the entire first 2 periods. He was up 4-3 but gave up 2 back points off of an attempted grandby.
  16. Crume was 132 against Northwood and 126 against everyone else we faced. He was 5-0.
  17. I honestly didn't see that coming. I expected it to be a lot closer than that. Good luck to Penn this season and with their whole team back now, it will be hard to stop them.

  19. 138 - Emilio Forrest of Jimtown pins Danny Ginter from Penn.
  20. Don't know much about 2003 Mater Dei's team, but 4 state champs is insanely impressive. How close would a 2011 Perry Meridian/2009 Mishawaka meet be?

  22. Me too. I want to see how Penn's best line-up matches up with what could be Jimtown's best line-up this Saturday.
