  1. Memorial will be insanely tough to inch out. Like you said, brackets will play a big part in this one.
  2. The Memorial sectional will feature a lot of tough weight classes and will have a lot of great matches. What are your predictions on the champions/top 4? 106 - Jay Franko (Jimtown) 113 - Forrest Glogouski (Fairfield) 120 - Jermel Moody-Neukom (Memorial) 126 - Nick Crume (Jimtown) 132 - Trevor Echartea (Central) 138 - Ronnie Bogle (Memorial) 145 - Kris Roberts (Memorial) 152 - Ryan Ntende (Goshen) 160 - Casey Adams (Jimtown) 170 - Tanner Adams (Jimtown) 182 - Carson Volheim (Central) 195 - Brandon Weinkauf (Jimtown) 220 - Chase Spears (Memorial) 285 - Dominique Stauffer (Central)
  3. I could see bonus points at 182, 195, and heavyweight. Other than that, I'm not sure there would be. Maybe 160.
  4. I will agree with you saying that tournament style is a lot different from dual meets. I mean, Penn beat us(Jimtown) by about 30 points the week before the Al Smith and they barely did better than us at the Al Smith. It could go either way, both teams are obviously some of the best in the state. And as much as I would love for Jimtown to pull out the upset at sectionals, I would also love to see Memorial face Penn.
  5. If Memorial wrestles like they did at the Al Smith, I'd pick them over Penn.
  6. I am expecting Cottey, James, LeCount, McKinley, Bova, Johnson, Masengale, Martin, and Winfield to make it. Kenny, McClurg, Ash, and Naughton could all pull it off though.
  7. Who would have thought it would have came from Ft. Wayne?
  8. You have to remember, that "1" comes from an unranked person and I don't think any of the 30 wins are over any ranked people.
  9. Tsirtsis and Brooks are ranked 1st, others include Boston, Ayersman, McKinley, Sliga, Micic, Mason Todd, and Devon Jackson. I think that's all, but could be wrong.
  10. Are you referring to Tanner at 170 or Schoettle at 113?
  11. My only complaint is Masengale at #7 when he pinned #3 Bowman.
  12. I'd say the most realistic upsets are Micic at 106, Campbell at 120, Mappes at 170, and Schaeffer at 182.
  13. Well, the top 4 most impressive then.
  14. Since we have a "state champs" thread, how about an expansion for who you think will be right up there along with the champions? 106 - Stevan Micic, Nate Boston, Tommy Cash, Damon Kuhn 113 - Jarred Brooks, Schuyler Phillips, Brandon James, Matt Frane 120 - Brendan Campbell, Mason Todd, Luke Welch, Paul Petrov 126 - Kyle Ayersman, Nick Crume, Cody Phillips, Cody LeCount 132 - Neal Molloy, Jarred McKinley(Tough decision here), Tommy Forte, Luke Blanton 138 - Devon Jackson, Mitch Hartman, Nick Bova, Conner James 145 - Jason Tsirtsis, Brooks Faroute, Jake Lannert, Vincent Corsaro 152 - Connor Mullins, Quincy Richey, Blake Reuger, Isaiah Bradley 160 - Brian Harvey, Jacob Underwood, Kirk Johnson, Bobby Stevenson 170 - Sean Mappes, Tyler Willis, Anthony Quiroz, Tanner Adams 182 - Matt Hurford, Tanner Lynde, Lukas Schaeffer, Dalton Brandenstein 195 - Mitch Sliga, Kourtney Berry, Spencer Raypole, Dane Maurer 220 - Keith Knura, Tyler Kral, Joe Gallegos, Galen Robinson 285 - Abraham Hall, Kaden Suter, Wesley Bernard, Dominique Stauffer
  15. Boston barely beat Micic when Micic weighed around 95 pounds. Micic has put on more weight and could pull it off. I'll go for a top 4 finish for each weight class just because. 106 - Stevan Micic, Nate Boston, Tommy Cash, Damon Kuhn 113 - Jarred Brooks, Schuyler Phillips, Brandon James, Matt Frane 120 - Brendan Campbell, Mason Todd, Luke Welch, Paul Petrov 126 - Kyle Ayersman, Nick Crume, Cody Phillips, Cody LeCount 132 - Neal Molloy, Jarred McKinley(Tough decision here), Tommy Forte, Luke Blanton 138 - Devon Jackson, Mitch Hartman, Nick Bova, Conner James 145 - Jason Tsirtsis, Brooks Faroute, Jake Lannert, Vincent Corsaro 152 - Connor Mullins, Quincy Richey, Blake Reuger, Isaiah Bradley 160 - Brian Harvey, Jacob Underwood, Kirk Johnson, Bobby Stevenson 170 - Sean Mappes, Tyler Willis, Anthony Quiroz, Tanner Adams 182 - Matt Hurford, Tanner Lynde, Lukas Schaeffer, Dalton Brandenstein 195 - Mitch Sliga, Kourtney Berry, Spencer Raypole, Dane Maurer 220 - Keith Knura, Tyler Kral, Joe Gallegos, Galen Robinson 285 - Abraham Hall, Kaden Suter, Wesley Bernard, Dominique Stauffer
  16. At Jimtown for NSC or team regionals?
  17. I could care less with a few commentary mistakes; we're getting a free broadcast!
  18. He hadn't even qualified for semi-state the year before.
  19. It's very possible, but I still see Ayersman finishing 1st. Crume or Phillips could either get 2nd depending on the draw and whoever comes most prepared. LeCount should be right up there with them and we can't forget bout Carroll.
  20. You can't at all see that? I'm kind of expecting Phillips to take 3rd behind Crume and Ayersman. Never seen LeCount wrestle, but he's obviously the real deal. I'd pick Phillips over him, but probably could go either way.
  21. I believe our heavyweight has had more forfeits than anyone else. I think he had somewhere between 6-9.
  22. Team scores: First Round ? Triton 46 Concord 25; Bremen 51 Culver 30; Jimtown 48 New Prairie 26. Second Round ? Jimtown 67 Concord 12; Bremen 73 Triton 4; New Prairie 55 Culver 19. Third Round ? Culver 53 Triton 26; Jimtown 62 Bremen 16; New Prairie 70 Concord 3. Fourth Round ? New Prairie 54 Bremen 18; Jimtown beat Triton (No score included); Culver 58 Concord 9. Fifth Round ? Jimtown 65 Culver 16; Bremen 63 Concord 16; New Prairie 75 Triton 6. Team champion: Jimtown. Individual champions: 106 ? Jay Franko (J). 113 ? Brad Freestone (NP), Allen Betts (Cu), Joey Bailey (. 120 ? Jose Rodriquez (. 126 ? Nick Crume (J). 132 ? Ian Randolph (Cu). 138 ? Emelio Forrest (J). 145 ? Marcus Williams (Co). 152 ? Wade Young (NP). 160 ? Joe Zigler (NP). 170 ? Tanner Adams (J). 182 ? Lawrence Davis (J). 195 ? Matt Hurford (Cu). 220 ? Don Stanish (NP). Hwt ? Abraham Hall (. Jimtown individuals: 106 ? Jay Franko 5-0. 120 ? Konner Chafin 4-1. 126 ? Nick Crume 3-0; Cody Koebel 2-0. 132 ? N. Crume 2-0; Emilio Forrest 3-0. 138 ? E. Forrest 2-0; Marquis Schieber 3-0. 145 ? Cameron Weiss 0-2; Aaron LaMaire 2-1. 152 ? Nate Thompson 3-2. 160 ? Casey Adams 4-0; John Hurtt 0-1. 170 ? C. Adams 1-0; Tanner Adams 4-0. 182 ? T. Adams 1-0; Lawrence Davis 4-0. 195 ? L. Davis 1-0; Corey Delater 3-1. 220 ? C. Delater 0-1; Dustin Chafin 4-0. Hwt ? D. Chafin 1-0; Will Johnson 3-1.
  23. Jason Tsirtsis vs. THE Lawrence under the lights at Conseco. That would sell tickets.
