Kikinou being very sticky against Peak. Leads 5-2 in the 2nd. Peak gets a 2, cuts it to 5-4, 90 seconds left. Peak on the offense, takes the lead 8-5. I'm not gonna lie, I want this 47 year old to win.

Winchester appears to be in control 5-0. 9-0 late in the 2nd....Gets the final TD, wins by tech 11-0

Hedrick trailed early against but got a TD and a series of turns, wins by tech 14-3

Whoa! Big swing after the judges review. Kikinou up 7-4. Peaks trudges ahead, gets the 2. 7-6 with 15 seconds left!!

Nick Lee and Alirez! Alirez gets up 4-2 in the 1st, Lee ties it with a TD. 4-4 criteria still with Alirez. Tons of time left.

Mendez against Zain. Mendez is just operating on an insane level. Gets a lightning quick go by, leads 2-0 early in the match. Wow. Zain thought he had 2, and Mendez' perfect whizzer avoids the TD. Still 2-0 Mendez looking strong. Zain finally gets his 2 to tie it 2-2 to start the 2nd

Both matches tied at the break!

Alirez gets a passivity point, leads 5-4, Lee follows that up with 2. Leads 6-5 looks for a gut briefly. Gets a big 4 pointer, leads 10-5 briefly. Alrirez responds, 10-7. No lead is safe against this level of competition, but Lee is defending well.....10 seconds left. Late TD Alirez, but Lee wins 10-9, advances to the Challenge finals.

Mendez trailing 3-2 but he's pushing the action, right around a minute left. Retherford holds him off 3-2, but Mendez is absolutely on anyone's level in the US

Dieringer counters a Brooks shot and whips Brooks over for a big 4 pointer. Leads 4-0, less than 90 secs in the first. Beautiful, powerful counter, Brooks looked genuinely shocked. 4-0 to start the 2nd. Big 4 pointer by Brooks, but Dieringer's corner throws the brick

Valencia up 3-0 against the dangerous Marstellar

Pretty sure these are the last semis. Finals matches to come soon.

Brooks' 4 stands, and he gets another point with the lost Dieringer challenge. Stepout bullrush by Brooks makes it 6-4, another TD on the edge of the mat, Brooks suddenly up 8-4 and appearing to be in control at this point.

Valencia looks very relaxed, holding Marstellar at Bay. Still 3-0 with 45 secs left to go. Wins 3-0, to set up a match with Brooks or Marstellar

Mortimer and Jimenez up now. The 17 year old Jimenez became Arizona's first female to win a state title against the boys. Super impressive and her Senior level showing here is beyond impressive. Mortimer continuing her hot wrestling, gets a quick four-spot to lead 4-0, but back to back takedowns and a leglace gives the youngster a 6-4 lead at the break.

Stefanowicz up 1-0 over Jacobson at the break. Very physical with the pummeling.

Jacobson wins 1-1 over Stefanowicz. Will face Spencer Woods for the Olympic team slot.

TD removed from Jimenez but still leads 8-4 and gets in on another leg attack. Leads 10-4 for real this time, reversal by the very game Mortimer. 10-6 20 seconds left. Mortimer needs a 4 pointer....doesn't get it. The 17 year old will face our very own Sarah Hildebrandt tomorrow for the spot.

Nolf with a stepout point against JB, but the red corner throws the brick....point removed, back to 0-0. No points in the first minute

Rau and Boykin (originally from Tennessee) locking up, a point for Rau, followed by a flurry with back exposure....5-2 after the flurry, Rau on top.

Burroughs wins another challenge....1-0 to start the 2nd. HUGE, high powered double for Nolf makes it 3-0. The crowd went bananas, it's almost as if they don't like JB :) . Burroughs has been stymied offensively so far.

Another point for Boykin cuts it to 5-3

No way is JB going to retire in this overly hostile environment. Great match by Nolf, he earned it, but it's a little bit of a bummer seeing Burroughs fall and especially without being celebrated by the fans.

Augello and Villaescus up at 53 KG for the ladies.

Aden Atao and Adam Coon up at 130 kg Greco.

The savvy Augello up first 2-0 on Villaescusa. She's looked strong the entire day.

Coon looks physically bigger and stronger than Attao. Coon pancakes him, gets the tech fall 9-0, will face Cohlton Schultz again. Coon beat him the last Olympic cycle but couldn't get the weight class qualifed for the Olympics. Should be a lot of beef banging into each other tomorrow with those 2 giants.

Izzy Style's Augello wins 3-0 and will face Dom Parrish for the Olympic Team slot on the women's team.

Arujau was just honored with men's freestyle wrestler of the year, which is a little ironic because he's not participating here, but what a year he had in folk and free.

Molinari and Glaude up.

Trumble and Moore up now.

Pretty quick TD on the edge of the mat for Trumble. Leads Moore 2-0. Moore is coming off of a match that retired J'Den Cox. Trumble has impressive length at this weight. Tough to get in on him with his long arms and legs (and overall head/hands defense, of course). Trumble starts to pour it on, leads 6-1, still in the 1st. Still 6-1 to start the 2nd

Molinari scores first on Glaude, looking to make another Olympic run. Gets a stepout, leads 1-0 over Glaude.

Moore is going to need to turn this match around and fairly quickly. He's dug himself a deep hole. Stepout point for Trumble, then another TD. I'm shocked at this dominance by Trumble. I was thinking earlier that Carroll would fare well against Trumble. Who knows? Trumble wins it and gets the reward of facing Kyle Snyder tomorrow for the spot.

Glaude with an explosive TD on the edge, leads Molinari 2-1 in the 2nd. Molinari pays her back with 2 of her own. 3-2, less than 1:30 left. Stepout point for Glaude...3-3 and Glaude gets to try to turn her. Gonna be hard to turn Molinari I'm thinking....no dice, still 3-3, Glaude leads on criteria

Molinari will face the red hot Amit Elor in a best of 3 with the 68kg spot on the line.

Zillmer and Gwiz should be a good one. No score early. Zillmer gets a point with a step out. 1-0 to start the 2nd

The Queen of Blades opens up against Makoyed. Blades with a quick 2, leads 2-0, quickly up 6-0. She's really in control of this opponent. 7-0 now, looking for the 1st period tech. Gets 2 more, leads 9-0.
