randalllynch
This area of the sport appears to be getting confusing and the rule book doesn't help much. Maybe it is the influence of MMA (which I do believe has increased the popularity of our sport, so not a knock there), but more and more really good wrestlers are taking gauging to the limit, and I am not talking about heavy hands and pulling the head down or placing a hand on the head and pushing, but blows to the face, eyes, and nose as described by another post and from matches I have seen. It would be great if one of the interpreters could assist here. Lets be constructive, no names, teams, or matches please I would just like clarity so no one gets hurt or DQ'ed. randalllynch
Specific qiestions: 1. Can you gauge to the face? 2. What if you poke your opponent in the eyes while gauging? 3. Can you use the heal of your hand to the face or forehead to gauge your opponent?

Barry Humble Jr.
I'm not a fan of any of those. But on a different note, some of these petentually dangerous calls drive me crazy
