Wrestler makes desired wt. class, but is below 7% and needs physician clearance form signed.  Parents have signed below 7% permission form.  Can a wrestler wrestle before he gets physician clearance form signed?

The top right side of the form says "This form shall be completed and filed with the IHSAA BEFORE the athlete may wrestle. DEADLINE DEC. 27, 2013 " So it gives you a last day it can be filed which is Dec. 27, 2013 and it tells you that it has to be done before the kid wrestles his first match.

There is no reason for a kid to have a physician clearance form and a parents form signed. When he did his alpha weight test if he had less than 7% he would need just the physician clearance form. The lowest weight he could wrestle would be the class his alpha weight puts him.  If he had more than 7% but wanted to wrestle a class that would put him under 7% he would need just a parents form signed to lose an additional 2% of the weight he would be at 7%.

What was his alpha weight?

What was his body fat %?

What weight does he want to wrestle?
