MMAChick72
My 12 year old has decided to write a program to automate Wrestling tourneys. As his mom I couldn't be happier that he is doing this and not burning down the neighbors house or something, but I haven't been able to fine anything that would help him with the scoring in a High School tourney, like the Sectional or Regional. Does anyone know where I can find that information for Indiana? I really want to help keep him focused on this and it is frustrating to not know where to point him. decbell1
For sectional it is scored: 2 pts for pin or inj def or FF 1.5 pts for tech fall 1 pt for major decision Placement points are as follows 1-16 2-12 3-9 4-7 5-5 6-3 You also get advancement points (no advancement ots awarded in final round because it is end of the road) Championship bracket 2 pts per win Consolation bracket 1 pt per win The key is adding it all up as it happens. For example, a 1st rd win (in the quarterfinal rd) gets you bonus pts (if any), two advancement points, plus a guaranteed 3 pts for 6th place. XCard
Sectional scoring does not begin til the Quarterfinal Round. This would be the round with 8 wrestlers left.
