Phil Baroni and Dennis Hallman back to UFC

Phil Baroni announce today that he's signed a multi-fight deal with UFC. Wow! 13-11 and has been dropped from strikeforce. Maybe UFC is looking for more personalities? I thought the move to welterweight would make Baroni a top contender, but his conditioning still seems to be his biggest problem. I believe he's 2-1 at 170 with a loss to Joe Riggs.

 

Hallman is 1-3 in the UFC, but has two impressive submission wins over Matt Hughes, though those wins seem like they were 20 years ago.

I get Baroni; he's an explosive, often entertaining personality and a go-for-broke fighter, but I can't say I get Hallman. I guess I'm happy for him--it's nice to see some of the pioneers get some better paydays.
