HOOSIERDADDY
IU finally breaks out and takes the Golden Gophers down up in MN. Overall, nice match ups for IU. Hoosierdaddies lock of the day is Trevor Perry throwing the head lock and getting 6 for the Hoosiers. For the Iowa match, I got a little silly with the picks, so it's back to reality today and I think the Hoosiers can take this one and end up with 3 wins in the Big Ten for the first time in a while. Maybe Disco is rubbing off on me and maybe this team is better than past squads. Records before Friday night matches..... 125 lbs - Angel Escobedo (18-2, 5-1) vs. #7 Zach Sanders (31-3, 5-2) IU 3-0 For guts & glory. The road warrior will bring all that he can again. 133 lbs.- Matt Ortega (21-9, 2-4) vs. #5 Jayson Ness (28-5, 5-2) MN 3-6 More growing pains. 141 lbs.- Andrae Hernandez (13-10, 1-3) vs. #7 Mike Thorn (25-12, 4-3) MN 3-10 Would love to Dre come off the Tsirtsis with a nice follow up, still, my gut tells me it won't happen. 149 lbs.- Nick Walpole (23-16, 2-4) vs. Joe Grygelko (7-16, 1-6) IU 6-10 Walpole finally gets a breather after battleing in armeggedan the last few matches 157 lbs.- #13 Kurt Kinser (16-4, 4-2) vs. Tyler Safratowich (25-10, 5-2) IU 10-10 Mr. Intensity takes care of business. 165 lbs.- Paul Young (25-10, 3-3) vs. Scott Glasser (19-13, 3-4) IU 13-10 Young closes this one out and wrestles the full 7 minutes 174 lbs.- #15 Trevor Perry (24-11, 3-3) vs. Kaleb Young (17-15, 0-4) IU 19-10 Perry sees an opportunity and lands the big one for the pin. Matt Everson (6-6, 1-2) 184 lbs.- Eric Cameron (19-13, 0-3) vs. Sonny Yohn (7-12, 1-6) MN 19-13 Cameron could make this one interesting. It would be nice to see him notch a "W". 197 lbs.- Matt Powless (18-10, 4-2) vs. Gordon Bierschenk (12-11, 4-2) IU 22-13 Too many opponents underestimate this frosh. 285 lbs.- Nate Everhart (22-12, 5-1) vs. #17 Ben Berhow (23-6, 7-0) MN 22-16 Could be a coming out party for Everhart, and I hope it is, still, Berhow appears to be one tough cookie. Disco
Any streaming on this match? Would love to be there to see Minn. jaws drop at the upset of the week. OK I might be a little over optimistic. But I dot think any team in the BX , this year, can look past the Hoosiers as they have in years past, to many weapons .
