Oddsmaker
I hate to jinx anybody, but I'm curious (Ancient Elder!!) In the "modern" era, lets say 1980+, what school has the most consecutive years with multiple individual State Champions. A certain school (knocking on wood) will be going for a 4th consecutive year with multiples.
midget5589
gee i wonder what school your talking about, and to answer the actual question i would imagine emd has the record
Oddsmaker
That would be my best guess too, but without going back through old programs, I'm not sure that EMD had multiple champs for that many years.
CoachRyan_Delta
Well, it can't be too many years in a row recently, because in 2005 (I think) every champ was from a different school.
ArmyofOne
Griffith 01-02 Escobedo Tsirtsis 02-03 Escobedo Hernandez Tsirtsis 03-04 Escobedo (Jose) Escobedo (Angel) Hernandez Tsirtsis Mater Dei only had two years in a row. If not for 01-02 they might have had 4 in a row. 00-01 Craig Weinzapfel Blake Maurer Allen Weinzapfel 01-02 Blake Maurer (This is the year that got them, they only had one champion) 02-03 Craig Weinzapfel Dustin Nosko Sam Wildeman Blake Maurer 03-04 Matt Coughlin Blake Maurer Griffith is the only other team I could find since 1980 that had 3 years in a row with multiple champions. Mishawaka could definately one up them this year.
Oddsmaker
Don't know how Griffith's run slipped my mind, I bet they had the most until now.
~B~DOGG~SMASH~
I know LN had multiple champs in 92 & 93. They almost had multiple champs in 91 (Champ & runner-up). 1991 - Jason Smith - Champ Jason Stewart - Runner-up 1992 - Brandon Ingalls Royce Deckard Case Hooper Derrick Robinson 1992 - Case Hooper Robert Miller I know it doesn't beat Griffiths , but a nice run. Here's a question: What school since the 80's has had the most state champs or runner-ups? Or run of state champs in consecutive years?
