AC Computer Posted January 5, 2009 Share Posted January 5, 2009 Naturally, the season leaders South Adams and Garrett are the favorites, but this is an individual tournament where several quality individuals can score a lot of points for their team. I was impressed with Bluffton on Saturday. They beat AC on the mat, but lost because of 4 forfeits. They remind me of the team AC had a few years ago where we also forfeited 4 classes and still finished second in the sectional. I made the statement back then that we had one of the best half-teams in the state. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bluffton in the top two at conference. 74smack Posted January 18, 2009 Share Posted January 18, 2009 I saw those Bluffton Tigers put 7 guys in the finals at the Woodlan Invitational this past weekend, and I believe they only had 9 or 10 guys wrestling. In this order.... 103: Batt, Bennett, Buuck 112: Gerber, Sprunger 119: Perry, Schultz, Lee 125: Fiechter, Novy, Striker 130: Fiechter, German, Ehr 135: Schendel, Gerber, Morris, Buuck 140: Beck, Kaehr, Burnfield 145: Friend, Isham, Jones 152: McCray, Sprunger, Schwartz 160: Fiechter, Taube, Sowles 171: Schultz, Biberstine 189: Scott, Demarco, Mock 215: Werst, Getts, Feasel HWT: West, Grueb Its gonna be a barn burner between the teams. starsaw Posted January 25, 2009 Share Posted January 25, 2009 Congratulations to the Railroaders of Garrett High School on their ACAC Tournament Championship Victory, and another Congrats to the Starfires of South Adams High School for their A.C.A.C. Round Robin Championship! It wasn?t the prettiest tournament, for either the Railroaders or the Starfires, but it was an exciting finish with only a .5 point gap between the two of them! -Thanks for the shirt Y2! I have never been so worn out coaching ever. ya it was really intense thorough though last matches between south adams wrestling and garrett wrestling. I think that was the most i seen coaches watch so much scoreboard watching. it was great. but congrats to garrett and to all the acac teams for putting on a good show today there were a lot of close and exciting matches.
