  1. Columbus East
  2. Team Balboa (Columbus East) wrestled in about 40 duals and another 10+ individual matches in a two piece this summer and I only remember one instance where there was even remotely an issue and it was very minimal. A kid got his shorts wrapped up in a shoe, match didn't even need to be stopped. No penality points, no tangled body parts, etc.
  3. Absolutely 100% workout/lift on game/meet day. Of course it's bball, but research some of Michael Jordan's game day workouts.
  4. We were a little short handed on the second day as a few of our guys couldn't be there both days, we fft 3 weights. Nice dual though.
  5. Team Balboa.... We are looking for 97, 102, 187, and 297 lb wrestlers. Weighins Thursday, July 13, wrestle on Friday. You will get between 5-7 dual matches. Contact me if interested. Coach Cooper, cooperc@bcsc.k12.in.us
  6. Columbus East needs a 182 plus 5 for the Mount Vernon duals this Friday/Saturday. No Cost. Please contact me if interested. cooperc@bcsc.k12.in.us
  7. I couldn't say enough good things about Team Balboa. Kids battled hard all duals vs some very tough teams, especially after all the other wrestling we did down here before the duals. Thanks to Social Circle GA, Manatee FL, and Brandon FL teams and coaches for allowing us to come workout and compete at their schools. Very coachable and hard working group. It was nice to see all the Indiana teams compete and do well. Hope everyone has a safe trip home.
  8. Columbus East needs a 173 lber for NHSCA Duals in Virginia Beach over Memorial Day weekend. Cost is $75 (does not include gear). Contact cooperc@bcsc.k12.in.us for more info.
  9. Both Disney spots have been filled. Thanks!
  10. Disney 175 has been filled. Still need a 173 for Virginia Beach and a 290 for Disney.
  11. Columbus East needs to fill 2 spots for it's Disney Duals team. We need a 175 and 290. 12. Reminder, this Thursday, 5-7 pm, Indiana Tech in to run technique.
  13. Columbus East RTC begins on March 23rd. We will go every Thursday from 5-7 pm. Enter the furthest south doors, wrestling room is downstairs on the left. Schedule is almost always warmup, 60-70 min of technique and drill, then 40-45 min of live. Thursday, March 23- Wabash College in to run the technique and drill Thursday, March 30- Indiana Tech in to run the technique and drill We always have a good group of kids to drill and go live with. Columbus East is about 3 miles off I-65, 40 minutes south of Indy. Questions- email Coach Cooper- cooperc@bcsc.k12.in.us
  14. Joe, I'm not going to argue this point, but I have been been told multiple times that you were asked not to use gold/blue eligible kids for the gorillas team.
  15. Maybe just a couple of the BBurg kids? Not sure. I remember asking why they were on the gorillas instead of the gold team. Nick said he told them to be on the gorillas because he wanted all his kids on the same team he was coaching (which I get). However, I still think the best kids should be reserved for one team.
  16. Mr. Littell, I believe there are 5 Indiana teams, Gold, Blue, and 3 Renegade teams. The renegade teams were allowed to enter because they do not pull potential kids from the Gold or Blue teams.
  17. So it sounds like you are not allowed to bring a team because you were asked not to take potential Gold team members and use them to fill your team. You chose to ignore the stipulations given to you. I guess I don't see any issue in them saying you no longer are allowed to bring a team.
  18. I would say it will get childish as opposed to getting ugly. Joe, were you told you simply can't bring a team? Or were you told that you could bring a team as long as you didn't pull potential wrestlers from the Indiana Gold team?
  19. The goal is to have the Indiana Gold team made up of the top returning placewinner from IHSAA state in each weight class.
  20. Soooo.... Just to be clear. Your Indianamat team isn't going, and you're planning an attempt to catch the Indiana Gold and Blue kids in an IHSAA violation?
