    Thanks to IU Head Coach Duane Goldman for running a great practice on Thursday night. 38 kids from Columbus East, Greensburg, Jennings County, Franklin, Twin Lakes, Columbus North, and Seymour on hand for the practice. This week Purdue Wrestlers Doug and Chad Welch are coming down to run the workout. Great chance to get better this Thursday night!

    Thanks to Coach Warthan and UIndy wrestlers Alex Johns and Justin Kieffer for running a great practice last night. Just over 40 kids from Columbus East, Greensburg, Seymour, Jennings County, and Martinsville working to get better and get ready for ISWA state this weekend. We will not have RTC on Thursday, March 21st due to Spring Break at Columbus East. The next RTC will be Thursday, March 28th. The Indiana University coaching staff will run practice.

    Great Practice last night!! 40+ kids. Many ISWA State champs and placers in the room. Great opportunity to get better. We had kids from Columbus East, Jennings County, Greensburg, and Edgewood. Next week is Coach Warthan from University of Indianapolis.

    Track wrestling is by far the best of all we have used. Buy it, the managers can score the matches live, no need for inputting stats at all. But then you'll be out of a job marsh, so on second thought you better go with something else...

    Relax. I didn't know he transferred before the end of the year. Not a big deal, I could care less. They could have 7 kids a year transfer there each year, I don't care, I'm not hating on them. They work hard, that's why they're good, that's the bottom line. The only reason I brought it up is because a similar situation happened with us a couple of years ago. We were only able to pick up 2 kids because a kid that transferred to our school didn't have a end of year report card from our school. I'm not trying to look classy or not, just having a discussion.

    McClurg was an 'outside member' last year. If Perry wanted to pick up extra guys, last year they would have only been able to pick up 2 because McClurg would have counted as the third. Unless he had a report card from perry for the previous year. Still impressive though, they have a solid program, lots of work has gotten them to this point. Nice job Indiana teams. We miss going and should be back next year.

    Manatee HS (Bradenton, Fl) is looking to host a mini-camp the 3 days prior to Disney Duals weigh-ins with an out of state team who will be participating in the duals. Columbus East has worked out with Manatee HS each of the past two years. We have had a very positive experience with their team and coaches. It's a great way to get some extra workouts in with a high quality team prior to the duals. Columbus East will not be attending the Disney Duals this year (we do plan on returning next year, we have been each of the previous 4 years). Manatee would like to continue to host a team with a mini-camp. They hosted Yorktown 3 years ago as well. Contact Coach Guglimini (941) 720-0309 if you are interested.     Friday night live tonight, 2/24/12, at Columbus East HS. Anyone wrestlers K-12 are welcome. No cost. 6:00 - 7:15 pm. Enter through the farthest south doors of the school (athletic entrance), down the steps, wrestling room is on your first left. Warmup, then live wrestling session.

W 49-15 vs strongsville, oh W 48-22 vs Wellington, fl W 59-13 vs darkhorse, mt W 39-21 vs paradigm, tx W 53-18 vs Olympic heights, fl L 26-36 vs moeller, oh L 23-39 vs Hamilton southeastern L 28-39 vs westside, fl L 21-36 vs Collins hill, ga W 40-26 vs Ohio comets L 24-32 vs Naperville, il Finished 6-5. Had to wrestle without a 285 after big rob suffered a concussion during round 3, he is ok now.

    There are 2 high school team divisions (non-all star teams) community 1 and community 2. School size does not matter, you can sign up for either division. Community 1 is much tougher.

    Anyone looking to make up a weather cancelled dual meet? Columbus East had a dual meet with B. North cancelled due to weather. Their schedule would not allow a make up. We would like to make this up, possibly on Tuesday of next week. We are willing to travel within reason, about an hour any direction. We could also possibly host if need be.
