Cosgrove's right. There is great wrestling going on everywhere, but the schools close to Chicago being brought up under guys like Leroy Vega and Petrov have a slight advantage.

I can't stand watching kids throw headgear and being a bad sport. If I lose a match I shake everyone's hand. Tell the coach(es) and wrestler good luck for the rest of the season. It is a sport. Be a man, and pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and prepare for the next one. I'm not saying accept defeat, but be a man and represent yourself, your family, your coaches, your school, and your town like you have been taught how to be a man and how to treat others.

I won the regional yesterday. And yes I am no champ, a great wrestler, but I just wanted to say that the Merrillville semi state has been the best in the last decade whether people like it or not. And whether New Castle has had more placers or not in the last 5 is still speculation. Being a state placer is an amazing accomplishment, but saying you're the best semi-state and having less champs and you resort to a "fact" that still hasn't been proven. I just think it's dumb that Merrillville is consistently trashed on yearly.

I'll tell you who is hot this year. Matt Hurford. All pins with the exception of an ID when he beat Jaylin Allen, but he was beating Allen solid up to that point. I think it may be a contest, but Matt has looked flawless.

Merrillville 195 has a lot of good ticket round matches. I think that they're going to be overlooked though because we all know who the champ is going to be. I must say Kral is getting better every time I watch him.

Chris was dominant all day. He has a tough ticket round match.

Oh yeah that's true he only has two losses and one of them is to arguably the best Indiana wrestler of our generation. Also, the fact that he has teched and pinned everyone except for two or three massive majors. I think it is pretty well locked.

True dat. I have to admit though I was a little grumpy because the thought of this weekend had me all fired up.

Hahaha nice. And yeah we'll see on the 16th. And dude I can't relax today is my last regional! And I placed at the Mishawaka so I'm no slouch even at 220. I had a major setback as a sophomore breaking my femur and wrist within six days of each other.

Oh okay well good luck at Mooresville tomorrow. Hopefully I make it to state so I can wrestle Harlan. He should do well this year.

It's exactly why you're butthurt by this because you never won state. R-e-b-u-t-t-a-l, not a difficult word. I am a minor, and I can spell it. You didn't by chance wrestle in college as well did you? Because surely didn't pay much attention in English class. Several uncalled for ellipses and abbreviated words.

Gelen's blast double can be compared to the blast double of a certain state champ Matt Graham of La Porte. An unstoppable blast double. There will be no Sliga blast dubles in this match. His only hope is a single leg.

Still different because a good batter is usually formed when a team has a full lineup of great batters so you can't be pitched around. Also batters face different pitchers so it is not one on one, whereas team on team is closer to one on one. Or I should say it's like tennis if you lose but you got more aces. I love wrestlebacks, but don't say you're the best if you're not the champion.

Or it's not like that at all because baseball honors are voted on and being a wrestling champion is winning. Winning is the key and something you guys don't do and it's probably because you take five hours to make a paragraph response. Best of luck at state this year it will be full of disappointments.

8-9 new castle champs is about the same as 14 merrillville champs. It could happen but it's not likely.
