  1. Some interesting matchups could take place. One i noticed right away is at 189 Ian Early sophomore (Greenfield-Central) v.s. Andre Richards sophomore (Perry Meridian) its going to be a very good match. From the looks of it, Early didnt look himself at Shelbyville while Richards looked good at Decatur. Very interesting and didnt see it coming. But I believe that this will be the best first round match. And how bout 125? How crazy is that going to be with another Wright v.s. Keifer match up possibly. Tell me what you think will be some good matches.
  2. yes we know Early didnt win Connersville he got beat by one of the best in the nation. 171 and 189 both very interesting. Early out all week with the flu looks very weak and gasses and Phelps also sick gets handled. I would call them both upsets.
  3. how bad did the yorktown kid beat poynter? And i'm guessing that Yorktown has the lead with NP second?
  4. Well GC i know has three finalists in Ferrell (103) McGinley(160) and Early (189) The rushville boy at 189 didnt even beat the mt.vernon kid in the first round today. He would have been no match for Early. Poynter v.s. Early will be a good one like last year. As will Bevans v.s. Ferrell.
  5. Do they still have the Freshman Marion county tournament? I am sure that has featured some pretty tough guys in the past, but havent heard anything about it in a long time.
  6. Sorry i wasnt trying to attack you or anything. But i am just very passionate about Hancock County Wrestling. And when i hear crap like that it just it makes me quite angry. But anyway. I think the poynter v.s. early matchup will be very good seeing it was very exciting last season at sectional with people yelling and a kid almost gettting thrown out, i believe it was ians brother..not sure. But anyway good luck to everyone it is going to be very interesting to watch some weights play out and the team race as well.
  7. I have a question when did McClurg beat Early? Ian Early is 23-5 with two losses to duckworth, a loss to sliga from fishers, and then had two losses at North Central over the weekend because he was battling a pretty severe flu bug. So with a weak Rushville schedual McClurg is what? 22-1 after getting majored by Poynter and Early beat Poynter last season pretty solidly and has only gotten better....actually i take that back and I will stand up for this kid HE IS A DIFFERENT ANIMAL THAN LAST YEAR, if you havent seen him manhandle people the way I have this year you would agree. I will go out on a limb and say Early pins the Shelby kid then pins the Rushville kid and then hands Poynter a pretty solid loss again. I believe that he desereves that no. 1 seed, but i guess thats why they will wrestle the matches on saturday.
  8. oh yes thats right. thank you. so 152 im not really sure about now haha.
  9. I'm gonna go ahead and test my HHC know how and pick the champions and top three teams right now. 103 Josh Ferrell GC 112 Mason Todd PH 119 not sure. pretty open 125 Derek Bevans Y 130 Deven Jackson Y 135 Andrew Heistand Y 140 J.R. Corman NP 145 Kyle Reidling NP 152 Desman Mcginley GC 160 Jake Jennings NP 171 Michael Phelps NP 189 Ian Early GC 215 Kyle Smitherman PH HWT Ross Janney Y Top Teams will be 1. Yorktown 2. New Palestine 3. Pendleton Heights
  10. I think i will go out on a limb here and say the Falcons of Perry will win
  11. This a very competitive tourny from top to bottom team wise and individualy. With the top teams being Cathedral, North Central, Greenfield-Central and logansport in the last few years. Individualy there are some good rematches from connersville usually. Seeing how some of these weights play out this weekend will be very intresting.
  12. I will have to agree with that. 20-3 as a sophomore with two losses to duck and one to sliga. had a good tourny at Connersville. If Duck goes down to 171 it will probably go something like this. Jones, Sliga, Richards, Early at semi state. Too bad Jones, Richards and Early come from the same regional though. Its going to be fun to watch.
  13. Early got lock up in a craddle pretty quick in the first. Boy that Duckworth is strong!! Early beat everyone else by a pretty reasonable gap if i remember. The other Greenfield Boy Ferrel looked good at 103 and Dakota Gruell at 171 wasnt in the lineup for some reason.
  14. At 189 Ian Early From Greenfield-Central is a Sophomore and i dont think that Nichols from pendleton heights wrestles anymore.
  15. Sliga would run Richards over. I dont think Sliga has had a close match besides the one the other night with the Greenfield Boy, and it was 10-5 still a decent gap.
  16. Another great dual, came down to the tie breaker. Next for Greenfield-Central is Fishers next wednesday.

  19. Greenfield-Central at Pendleton Heights tomorrow.
  20. Where are the Greenfield Central Boys? Ian Early at 189 was a regional qualifier beat Poynter from New Pal, and Hanley from Chatard, had two close ones with netherton from Franklin Central and Nichols from Penleton Heights. And he was only a freshman. He will make an impact this season at that weight. Dakota Gruell at 171 was also a semi state qualifer from GC and had some quality wins last season over some good kids. He is another to look out for.
  21. With the season only about a month away from starting, who does everyone think the concensus #1 team in the state is for the pre-season? Defending Champions Crown Point Defending Runner-Up Perry Meridian 2008 Champion Mishawaka Long Time Champions Evansville Mater Dei Reigning Indianapolis City Champs Cathedral Or can a team like Castle, Yorktown or Roncalli creep from the distance into title contention?
