  1. ...and Caliboy rides in attempting to spoil the topic...
  2. cliche- "they are just like us. they put their singlets on one leg at a time." snappy comeback- "yeah, but the only difference is, when they put their singlets one, we get pinned."
  3. Individuals: SIAC Champs: Central- 7, Castle- 7 PAC Champs: Central- 6, Castle- 4 Big 8 Champs: Central- 2, Castle- 1 Teams: Central- Top Two SIAC teams; Castle- Finishers 3-5 Castle- PAC Champs; Central- Finishers 3-6
  4. 113- This bracket is loaded. Arney vs. Lehman in the first round should be a dandy. 126- Braye vs Jourdan will be the best first round match-up of the tournament. The winner will likely get Todrank, which will be another thriller. 132- Five high-quality entrants in this bracket; three of them are 2x state qualifiers. 138- Look for #3 Schroeder and #2 Schnell in the semis for an entertaining rematch. 145- Is Kelley healthy? 160- Parkinson and Wimpelberg will have another battle in the finals. 220- #3 seed Hammonds vs. #2 Pace will be a great semis match. 285- Will Nathan Wright be on the mat? If not, look for Hohl and Powell in the finals. Who do you like? If you aren't ready for the full six minutes, you best stay home! Seeds are seeds; the only thing that matters is who is on top of the podium. Who do you expect to be dominate tomorrow? WrestleMan, I know you have an opinion. Your the man! BlueBolt (if that's your real name), come out and play. I won't make fun of your wrestling cliches. I promise. This time is different.

  6. 1. Mater Dei- Wins by a comfortable margin 2. Reitz 3. Memorial 4. Central- If they have a good day, they can edge Memorial 5. Castle- Just a hair behind Memorial and Central 6. North 7. Harrison 8. Bosse
  7. Wow, I sure don't see it that way. 106, 126 and 145 have big favorites. Other than that, every weight class is very competitive
  8. The PAC...where else would one find Swade and Angus?
  9. 152- Henshaw? 195- Bosse? 220- Reitz kid?
  10. i love it! especially the "big bully" tag. y2, did you notice that some of the teams with less-flattering monikers complain about "no respect"? hmmm.
  11. i'm not aware of the "coin-tossing" rule to continue a match. what was the score of the match when the pin was called?
  12. How about posting the individual scores from rtz/central. Rtz/ castle?
  13. not yet. i have been told that a number of people are going to step up today. that's why they go the full six minutes.
  14. A few people may be surprised by some of the dominate performances.
  15. "Kuhn", not "koon". You are only off by two letters on a four-letter word, as I count it.
  16. a couple of weeks ago, the paper listed 113, 132, 160, 170, 182, 220 and HWT all as seniors.... that isn't correct?
  17. Mater Dei wins 36-21. A crowded house on the Hill; both schools had a large, raucous crowd. For this long and contentious rivalry, this match had qualities of its own. Mater Dei jumps out to a 24-0 lead, but Reitz was unfazed. Reitz's HWT comes up with a pin, and ignites their crowd and bench. Reitz proceeds to win the next two matches and looked like were poised to make a run. Mater Dei wins three of the last four to ice it. Reitz started seven seniors while Mater Dei started eight freshmen and sophomores. Five total pins for the match, an unusually high total. Five matches were considered "swing", with Mater Dei winning four.
  18. we do not need rankings when we have wrestlingfan182 to tell us that warren "should be in there". "just sayin"
  19. very impressive. good job, indiana boys!
  20. thursday night. fj reitz high school. 350 dreier avenue. overlooking the river. high above the west side. evansville, indiana.
  21. Where is that well-known wrestling prognosticator JonH? He is strangely silent. I have heard he is in an underground bunker with an IV of diet ski and bratwursts, sweating the details and trying to come up with a prediction. BlueBolt? Wrestleman? Anyone? Anyone? I predict this dual will be very close.
  22. sorry, man. the whole "panther out!" and "pather vision" thing isn't working for me.
  23. I saw that tournament. Did you notice it was only at 8-man bracket, yet it took them all day to wrestle it? what's up with that?
