  1. I'd be much more embarrassed to be he self proclaimed "WorstWrestlerEver" but that's just me.
  2. I would say it as a totally unbiased observer. The 3-2 score was not nearly indicative of how the match went. Kieffer got the lone takedown and rode Nelsen out for the first and second periods. Nelsen's two points were gimme stalling calls that werent that bad. What is the rule on a second stalling call? I ask because in a match I watched earlier this season, a wrestler got hit with two stalling calls but the second one was two points. ff 1st -- Warning 2nd -- 1 point 3rd -- 1 point 4th -- 2 points 5th -- DQ
  3. It is a legit question, especially for those not intimately involved with the sport. And, honestly, I don't know how to answer the question either. I don't think wrestling in quite like any other sport, so I'm not sure other sports are a good comparison, even individual sports. The only other 1 on 1, individual high school sport I can think of is tennis, and I am unaware as to how that state tourney goes. Is it possible for the 2nd or third best tennis player in the State to not get very far cause they happen to be in the same area as the best?? I dunno. Any insight???
  4. huh? I think Freshman = 9th grade For some reason Mr. Mustard is stuck on the fact that some kids get held back at some point in their lives, so they aren't "true" freshmen. If you think it's ridiculous and insulting, I agree.
  5. I think Hamilton Heights Sectional has 7 -- not 5 Anderson Highland -Eppert -Berryman -Bennett Pendleton Heights -lil Todd -Big Todd Tipton -Moats -Warner Might change the Pendleton Regional numbers too
  6. This is the point I have been trying to make about wrestlebacks vs. class wrestling. It seems as if the majority of those associated with this board would like to see wrestlebacks at the semi-state level as opposed to class wrestling. Most of us seem to be in agreement that this is the biggest step we can take right now for the betterment of our sport and athletes. I think if we can try and focus on that one goal -- then maybe there is something that we can actually try and get changed.
  7. That would be like saying the reason Illinois and Ohio are better than us is because they have class wrestling. Y2 -- I love the site and I love all the hard work you have done for Indiana wrestling. I do think you may have to lay of the sarcasm a bit, however, as there seem to be many that aren't getting it, and it's adding to their confusion.
  8. Wow --- nothing like being content and accepting things as they are -- maybe that's why it takes us folk a little longer than others to progress.
  9. I'm really looking forward to seeing Nelson and Jackson at 112 Friday night. A lot of people are picking Nelson to go all the way, but Jackson is tough, and I look for this to be a VERY close match. I'm surprised I haven't seen more people talking about this one.
  10. Any indication as to why the LOSS of support? I understand that they are reluctant to listen to a membership that only represents 40% of the schools, but to go from 50% support, to 30% support, to 0% support seems very drastic. Why the switch??
  11. Because nearly everyone agrees on wrestleback. Not so with class wrestling. I hope that is indeed the case.
  12. This is by far the most intelligent post I have ever read on this forum. Why in the world we would argue for ages about class wrestling when wrestlebacks are what would truly make our state better is beyond me. WE NEED WRESTLEBACKS!!! And the 215 example earlier is why. Kids that have the talent to finish in the top 4 on the podium at Conceso that never get the chance because of the lack of wrestlebacks. I'll sit through another couple of hours at Semi-State if it's for the betterment of our sport and athletes.
