I've heard a lot of people saying things were wrong with T-ferg but the bottom line is Smith beat him hurt or not.... Let's not take anything away from DJ he's a great kid and great wrestler. And smith looks great this year I expect it to be a very close match but I'm taking smith because of the tougher schedule and better workout partners.
  6. If you are looking for another good tournament Franklin's super six is the weekend. You will see duals of Franklin vs. Yorktown (3a champs vs 2a champs) Franklin vs Holt (MI) ranked 7th in the big division and also Yorktown vs Holt should be a great day of wrestling.
  7. How good was the come back by Franklin vs Perry and in the finals vs MD? Me personally I think it was great and what a way for a Hall of Fame coach to get his first team state title. Congrats Bob Hasseman and the rest of the team! Oh yeah how bout them colts?
  8. 113 Unrated Remo Hiestand over #8 Chris Trent 6-4 OT

  10. The newspaper is right and Van Horn will be at 45 after the holidays once Franklins normal 52 gets back.
  11. Don't forget about Franklin. Team state will be crazy. A lot of very good teams top to bottom.
  12. No problem he was a sophomore last year lost in the ticket round match to the kid from madison
  13. As a freshmen he was a State Qualifier yes. lost in ticket round as a sophomore
  14. I don't know what weights for sure. If I was guessing I would bet Stevenson is at 70, and he was a SQ as a frosh, very hard worker though. Reese will either be 126 or 132 he had a win over The kid from Bloomington South last year who was a SQ I think his name was Ruynon and gave schoutlee all he wanted a couple times. Brownfield had a win over Schoolcraft from Martinsville and took Kral to OT. As for Van Horn he should crack the line up at either 138, 145, or 152. Went out to cadet duals this summer and went 4-4 at 152 I believe beat a state place from Oklahoma if I remember right and had a win over Van Camp from Lebanon over the summer
  15. Seems as though you aren't showing much love to guys up north. Franklin Not only has Smith Tolley and Lykins, but Jacob Stevenson is a stud wouldn't be surprised if placed top 3. Shane Wilkerson will be much improved in his sophomore year. Peyton Reese is a veteran who has wrestled in a lot of big matches. JAcob Brownfield had some very good wins last season. They have a extremely talented Freshmen coming in, in Burk Van Horn who has shown he is going to have an impact. As well as som JV guys that will step in and wrestle at a very high level. You know Hassman will have them boys ready to go come week 1. They also picked up a very good assistant coach in Brandon Pettijohn. They will be loaded this year.
  16. One more i forgot Jacob Stevenson from Franklin made it to state as a freshmen at 138 lost friday night to state runner up Josh Farrell who is another one
  17. Phillips yorktown, carroll yorktown, Hiestand yorktown, Dj smith (lost to boston in overtime friday night, look out this kid is super tough), Luke Kriech obviously, Molloy becomes a 2x next year
  18. What an awesome tourney for him... Beats Brown (who beat him earlier this season) then PINS Richey... I have a feeling he will be under the lights again next year... Second most exciting match behind Petrov vs. Campbell.... Congrats to Bradley great kid
  19. I watched Martin at semi state and he gave Todd eveything he wanted had a single leg in the air during the 3rd period when it was 4-2.... Mason was just to tough to take down.... if Martin wins i know he will give Welch fits on Saturday Morning... Never seen Garcia wrestle before but I know Maldonado will have him ready to wrestle... Good luck to both!
  20. random question but where is buckley from valpo at?
  21. Ryan Bean Crawfordsville vs Riley Newkirk Lawrence Central
  22. Stock has to get by Peyton Reeses first round it was 2-0 in the finals at MD holiday classic where Reeses beat whitley so don't count out P Reese he has great workout paetners and you know Hassman will have him ready to wrestle
  23. Stevenson put it on bova should have had more points had him on his back twice... kids a straight stud such a bright future in an awesome program... I seen him beating judy and fentz wins he wrestled good last night... and then i really dont understand where people see reeves beating kreich i think kreich dominates that match
  24. Bean wins at 113 and Hudson Miller makes it out at 152
