  1. unfortuneately thats an extremely hard lesson to learn, but one that may make the young man think twice as every consiquence has a reaction.
  2. Truely awesome post young man keep up the excellent work and don't ever fall out of love for this sport!
  3. First and foremost I want Rebel4life to know this dad here at NC has the utmost respect for you and your sons. Every time they have compeated against one another they have all gone full out. And your coments about my son having his appendics out was of the most heart felt things said last year. You have raised extreme gentleman and super tough wrestlers. Next I was unable to attend last week due to work unfortuneately in todays job market I have to work. I did though talk to individuals whom were there and win or lose both teams from what I heard gave there all but most importantly all involved showed tremendous sportsmanship. Yes Campbell did have a loss this year and on that day that young man was one point better Brenden picked up his bag and moved on. He is going to wrestle as hard as the good Lord will let him. He lives one day at a time and tries to train to the best of his ability that day. I wrestled growing up and know that he also knows that on any given day when all the cards fall just right and the man above grants you the will to win then thats what will happen. And when the cards don't line up disaster could happen and your season ends. So if you believe it or not we learned first hand your seson could end at any time. Good luck to all from here on out. .And the number of wins a person has and whom they've wrestled doesn't matter to the individual standing ontop of the podium.
  4. how about last years emergency appendectomy to Campbell 42-0 not a single takedown scored against him out 3 days after secctionals
  5. Can anyone tell me why Decker is not wrestling
  6. I am also a hockey fanatic along with wrestling but I must saythat the US Olympic Team in 1980 is my pick for the biggest upset. A bunch of 18-22 year old college kids from different teams put together for 6mo and shocked the world beating not only the Russians but Czechs Fins and tied the Sweeds For the first Olympic Gold medal since 1960 in hockey when they once again beat the Russians
  7. Yes it is true, everyone gets beat, Campbell had a bad match last week and lost 1-0, if he gets his head back together he'll be difficult to beat again. He had a major let down last year due to appendix watch out its tourney time and a record of 42-1 isn't to bad especially beating some of the opponents he did this year. The winner of the NC Semi State just could be the state champion. 112 has some tremendous studs all around the state.
  8. REMEMBER, last weekend it was 27-27 going into last match with New Castle came down to a young man for New Castle that has only been wrestling for 2 years and New Castle forfeited 2 other weight classes.
  9. Does not matter one bit, from what I've heard Brenden just wants to wrestle. It's a bad day to be a 112#er . iT'S GOING TO GET REAL FUN FROM HERE ON OUT!
  10. I don't know if it fair or unfair, I do know that when I wrestled if you didn't make weight you didn't wrestle. In fact if you wern't within 1 pound the morning of a match the coach automatically took you off the roster for that event. My coach wasn't going to be humiliated by having his wrestlers run before weigh ins. Maybe that wasn't fair but it did create discipline and we never had anyone not make wt. By the way my coach wrestled at Yale and his only loss his senior year was to a man named Mike Sheets of Oklahoma State whom eventually wonn the NCAA"S that year.
  11. Its funy some of you talk about burn out, at the number of matches these young adults have wrestled. It has occured to me most of the people on the list never take a break from the sport. Infact almost everyone of these people goes onto Freestyle directly after the high school season. Its not burn out its dedication, devotion, and love for the sport. To quote Dan Gable, "Once you've wrestled, everything else in life is easy"
  12. Brenden had a great first period against Kagan at Freestyle Regionals losing by a ascore of 1-0 on a questiionable takedown. After the break Kagan withdrew due to a knee injury too bad it wasn't in the cards to go another period. Yes Brenden is at 112 finishing undefeated this week at Bronco Duals.
  13. I must say its extremely nice to see people talking about Indiana born kids high in the college ranks. Good luck to all these fine young men and ones coming up.
  14. Yes, he is one again undefeated with 20 pins 3 tec falls and one superior. Had a big win over a young man from Mason Ohio who took 3rd in their state tourney last year big school class. Hoping to continue that through the year and hopefully wrestle under the lights this year at Conseco but one match at a time. He realizes how fast it can be taken away!
  15. we moved to NC from Southern Indiana and it was by far the best move we ever made. Having conner as a practice partner is probably the best partner anyone could have. although he has grown quite a bit and now out weighs me a few spots I throughly thrive on having him in the room he is deffinately top of the food chain when it comes to Indiana wrestling.
  16. Everyone needs to lay off Cody and his birthday the young man is elgible and will be elgible to wrestle all the way through his high school career!!!!!!!!!!!! I know this for sure people don't want him to wrestle because he's great and those who are scared will look for any reason to get him out. > He's not going anywhere and will most likely be a 4Xer. To be the best you have to beat the best so good luck to all who wrestle him. Your going to need it.
  17. Michael deserves it he's one of the most upstanding and humble individuals I know his parents are some of the greatest people on earth
  18. I thought the score was 39-22 in favor of Mason. New Castle also gave up 18 pts to forfeits
  19. Hay Brooks don't ever change who you are, to those people who don't understand you, you are a unique individual, I feel sorry for them because they lead a boring life. Your not just an excellent wrestler your a young man that has the world going for himself. Wish the rumors of you ending in New Castle would have come true. Take care young man and it will be a blast to see you at Conseco this year. to those individuals who don't know what a party boy is their to old kind of like if its to loud your to old maybe thats why I can't hear anymore because I refuse to grow up!
  20. The match didn't happen as some predicted. Cody wrestled 103 and looked like a beast. It's a bad day to be a 103 lbr if you have to wrestle him. He went undefeited with a great win against a stud from Mason Ohio. The hype that went on for Campbell and Phyllips to wrestle didn't bother Campbell much either. He ended his day also undefeited with a huge win over a state placer from Mason Ohio 22-11. It was also extremely nice to observe Cody and Brenden acting as though nothing was ever brought up, infact I don't think they even spoke of it. They were screwing around and beating on each other as if they were brothers. Its great to see such tough young men so close as friends. Congrats to both young men on a job well done!!!!!! way to beat the Buckeye Boys!!!!
  21. Could be the first of many between these 2 best feriends, either way those 2 are unseperable. May as well be brothers
  22. Point well taken just like going to see the kids all wrestle,
  23. Its a shame 2 years in a row New Pal pulled a forfeit to campbell at 112 when they had a young man at that weight
  24. New Castle meets Union County this coming Saturday, the 12 of December . Means Campbell, Phillips match up could be instore
  25. I personally am all infavor of female wrestling. There is no reason woman shouldn't have their own teams. I personally coach a few tiny young ladies at our club and feel in the future they will be very good. Besides if women get their own teams maybe it would generate enough interest that the NCAA would put title9 on the back burner and wrestling will nce again be put into some of the schools where it was taken out.
