  1. Eads will have to be very offensive and attack Brownfield the whole match to win. Brownfield still looks out of shape, so the second and third period will be crucial for him. 112, 119, and 125 should be some close matches.
  2. Noone can say for sure that this was intentional. This young man's high school career is ended based on an allegation and rule interpretation. Something seems wrong here. What happened to doing what is best for the wreslters. There should always be an asterisk next to sectional champion. We will never know the true champ.
  3. Overall, I think it's a phoney token gesture that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I'm not impressed at all when a kid does it, precisely because I know he is told he has to. I would be more impressed if a kid sought out a coach after the match, away from the spotlight, looked him in the eye, said nice match and shook his hand. Agreed 100%! I would rather a kid come talk to me later if he wants than come shake my hand. As long as he shakes the opponents hand, thats all that matters. Congrats to the great accomplishments of the CP kids and coaches. Keep up the good work.
  4. Wow he is hugh. Congrats on your wins and good luck with whatever you decide to do next.
  5. Enough of the shaking hands. I would rather not shake hands after the match. I dont want a fist bump, slap, high five, shake, nothing. I want to talk to my wrestler and move on. They shook hands before and after the match showing respect for each other. Just one coaches/fathers opinion. Congrats to all the wrestlers and coaches this weekend.
  6. I am glad to be able to scratch. I think in order to vote for a ref your team should have had that ref at least once in the past year.
  7. For the first year, I say it went pretty well. E'ville should start an hour earlier though to help those with the long drive home.
  8. Agreed. individuals get one champion (who is the best), and teams compete against teams of similar sized schools to give all a chance to win as a team. What will that hurt. Go with the same classes those other sports use. I probably said too much already. Happy debating.
  9. Teams- Classed; Individual- One champion.
  10. Congrats to Jennings County. Excellent job running Sectionals!
  11. hmm, lets see....what about that out of bounds line?? i think that could be one of the main reasons why it would be questionable? just a thought, also as of the questionable throw...what about milenbaugh stalling that time to where all armand could get is a throw? i mean, in my opinion if someone is running from you, it's hard to wrestle. Just like in that finals match at sectionals with the two of them. What about that avoiding wrestling rule thats new this year? i mean, i may be wrong but i believe that is supposed to be an automatic point without a caution. in my personal opinion, if a guy is literally running backwards from the opponent, that would be avoiding wrestling, but appearantly im wrong and it is just stalling, even though stalling is what had been happening that entire match from milenbaugh. Agreed. Once he had the lead, Milenbaugh stalled the rest of the match to the point of running around the mat. 1 point should have been awarded.
