  1. Updated using the brackets and results from the past couple of weekends
  2. Hope you enjoy, gave it a try. It is time for Hanover to welcome 13 other schools into their sweatbox for a long fun filled day of wrestling. I will break down each weight class by favorites, dark horses and how it will affect the team race. Lets begin: 106 The top two seeds have split against one another. Jordan Gray (Eastern) is an experienced wrestler having competed on the varsity level for his entire career. A three time regional qualifier Gray is looking to take the next step this season and travel to Evansville. He should be considered the favorite. Noah Franklin (New Washington) is a freshman who is making a name for himself this season. Having beaten Gray already this season it would be hard to not consider him a co-favorite in this weight class. Dark Horse: 3 seed Tyler Wilburn (Milan) is a wrestler who has the skills to take out anyone in this bracket at any time. 113 Luke Woods (Charlestown) is the clear favorite in this weight class. The senior is a returning regional qualifier and has been in big matches throughout his career. Woods is looking for a deep tournament run starting with Saturday. Zack Brosmer (Forest Park) is my pick as the Dark Horse candidate. 120 Trevor Lonneman (Milan) should be considered the heavy favorite in this weight class. Lonneman is a two time semi-state qualifier as well as a returning sectional champ and regional runner up. Milan should pick up their first champion of the day in this weight class as Lonneman breezes through the day. Dark Horse: Logan Williams (Southwestern) is about the only other wrestler at this weight who will be able to keep Lonneman on the mat any longer than he cares to be there. 126 Charlestown's Bryant Haynes is one of the top wrestlers in the tournament. Haynes is a former semi-state qualifier who is able to put on an offensive show on his feet. Cody Flamion (Forest Park) has at times appeared to be one of the top wrestlers in our area. This young man, like Haynes, is capable of scoring seemingly at will. Flamion will give Haynes all he wants in the finals. Dark Horse: Alex Sexton (Scottsburg) is a wrestler who has been getting better year in and year out. He may be primed to challenge for a title this weekend. 132 This weight class seems to be one of the more competitive classes in the tournament. James Wise (New Washington) and Trevin Grissom (Mitchell) have battled before this season with Wise coming out on top. The re-match is sure to be another great match. These two should be labled co-favorites in the weight class. Dark Horse: Three wrestlers should be considered dark horses to make it past one of the favorites. Paul Hawk (Milan), Daniel Doty (CAI) and Kirk France (Crawford County) have beaten each other and have shown the potential to get past the semi's. 138 Yancey Crase (New Washington) and Winston Glenn (Forest Park) headline this class as the top two contenders. Each guy has postseason credentials with Glenn making a run to semi-state last year and Crase finishing second at the Jeffersonville sectional. Dark Horse: Zac Adams (Scottsburg) has shown flashes of brilliance and could find himself in the finals. Adams does have one of the tougher first round matchups however. 145 Brayton Brading (Eastern), Dalton Bingham (New Washington) and Tristan Murphy (Paoli) all help make this the most balanced bracket in the tournament. I would be hard pressed to pick a winner here but I tend to lean towards chalk. This bracket could have some of the more exciting matches throughout the day. Dark Horse: Corey Babberl (Salem) is a guy who may be able to knock off his Washington County rival. 152 Austin Spray (Southwestern) is looking to cap his last SIWC tournament with another bracket for the wall. The returning semi-state qualifier is the favorite in this class. Devin Cobb (Mitchell) is a returning conference champion will not care about ruining the Rebel's moment. This guy can win against Spray and will look to show it if he can get by.... Dark Horse: Antonio Gaddie (Charlestown) having only wrestled in five varsity matches this year is the ultimate dark horse. The young Pirate has won on the gridiron as well as at the junior high level. Look for him to use his speed and quickness on the mat much like he did against defenders while carrying the pigskin. 160 Jacob Franklin (New Washington) seems to have this weight class on lockdown. This is nearly a stone cold lead pipe lock pick. The Mustang wrestler has made himself quite comfortable under the lights at this tournament. Franklin is a returning regional champion and will represent our area well during the state tournament. Dark Horse: It is not often the two seed qualifies as a dark horse but Zach Bacon (Scottsburg) will need to shock quite a few know-it-all's to win this weight. This young man has put in the time and is looking to showcase his hard work with a huge upset in the finals. 170 Milan has a history of producing quality big men and Donnie Hoffrogge is no exception. The senior will be looking to use this tournament as a springboard with the state tournament approaching. Zach Higdon (Charlestown) came awfully close to a SIWC title last year as a freshman and will be looking to seal the deal this year. Dark Horse: Kenny Mills (Scottsburg) will have to overcome his MSC rival if he is to make the finals. 182 Matt Hayes (Providence) is a returning sectional champion that would like to keep the ball rolling. He is the favorite at this weight and will be looking to fine tune his game with a sectional repeat in mind. Michael Tedrow (Mitchell) is making a monster jump from 145 last year to his current weight class. To date the jump doesn't seem to be affecting him very much. Dark Horse: Caleb Donoho (Eastern) will be itching for a shot at the finals. 195 Jacob Cavins (Milan) is the heavy favorite in this weight class. Some shady seeding seems at play with Cavins being placed as the two seed. Dark Horse: The number one seed is rarely a dark horse but if Davon Gant (Salem) is able to bring home a title there will be more than a few shocked faces. 220 Josh Hurley (Charlestown) will be searching for his first SIWC title. The Pirate body builder will be a handful for anyone who tries to get too physical. Stefan Anderson (Milan) will look to make it two champs in two years at 220 for Bobby Plumps alma mater. Dark Horse: Taylor Thomas (Switzerland County) is a returning regional qualifier that will look to add a bit more hardware to his trophy case. HWT Two undefeated big boys headline the heavyweight bracket. Mark Miles (Paoli) and Kolbey Mount (Scottsburg) will look to carry on their schools winning tradition with big guys. Dark Horse: With only two losses Christian Davenport (Charlestown) would hardly surprise anyone with a title this weekend. The two undefeated wrestlers tend to cast a shadow that Davenport will be looking to escape from tomorrow. TEAM RACE Milan should be considered a heavy favorite heading into this tournament. Barring a collective poor showing the Indians should bring home yet another SIWC title for their black and gold backers. Charlestown and New Washington seem to be the only other schools that have a realistic shot at pulling off a conference title.
  3. bigmak, why do you still have jenkinson ahead of lonneman even after lonneman pinned jenkinson at Connersville?
  4. You missed Hurst from Jasper when you made the Southridge sectional guys bold.
  5. Noah Keller- Mt. Vernon is another contender for the 120 title.
  6. Where is Dylan Robertson for BNL? Sectional champ last year at 106 and I have yet to see him in any of their results.
  7. Where are some of these guys going for the tournament? Evan Speaker Columbus North Will Speaker Columbus North Cody Speaker Columbus North Luke Teague Columbus North Brandon Woods Columbus North Hunter McCormick Evansville Central AJ Dixon Evansville Central Caleb Hart Evansville Central Kaleb Greenwell Gibson Southern Damien Rutlidge Southport Jesse Leamon Southport

Whalen has a win over Lahue last year in the finals at Woodford.
  10. I feel like Noblitt wins that class at regional but I will take the top 3 from Jeff Sectional to follow him to Semi-State.
  11. The last info I got said Mundy was going 152. When did you see him last?
  12. Southridge Sectional projected winners/placers Hate em or love em either way post yours. No connections to any of the teams in this sectional so probably messed up once or twice. 106 Dillon Hurst Jasper Logan Meyerholtz Southridge Luke Fleck Forest Park Jake Wilson Washington 113 Geordon Terwiske Jasper Will Stroud Paoli Zach Brosmer Forest Park Drew Dearing Southridge 120 Tommy Brock Jasper David Rogier Southridge Joshua Thomas Forest Park Andrew Patton Crawford County 126 Nathan Schitter Jasper Ryan Koerner Washington Cody Flamion Forest Park Prestyn Balsmeyer Southridge 132 Edgardo Meza Washington Winston Glenn Forest Park Cameron Sanders Jasper Trevin Grissom Mitchell 138 Isaac Drew Washington Michael Boyd Southridge Eric Gehlhausen Jasper Landon Fleck Forest Park 145 Mitchell Mundy Southridge Tristan Murphy Paoli Phillip Rogier Forest Park Brandon Hernandez Jasper 152 Ruger Kersteins Jasper Jesse Knoblaugh BNL Leighton Fleck Forest Park Ian Fetz Salem 160 Jacob Mundy Southridge Ritchie Osha Washington Austin Rominger Paoli Jaykob Nicholas Mitchell 170 Cole Kreilein Jasper Bryce Harter Southridge Jake Owens Washington Joseph Bortka Salem 182 Andy Fischer Southridge Ian Songer Jasper Michael Tedrow Mitchell Adam Lane BNL 195 Edwin Revolorio Washington Aidan Michel Southridge Davon Gant Salem Trent Smith Jasper 220 Nick Joyner BNL Carson Popp Jasper Alex Merkel Southridge Jordan Cadle Paoli HWT Ethan Schwoeppe Southridge Moises Valenciano Jasper Mark Miles Paoli Caelan England Mitchell Jasper 6 champs and 13 regional qualifiers pulls out the team title over Southridge 4 champs and 13 regional qualifiers.
  13. Where is Robertson from BNL at 106? Havent seen him in any brackets or projections. Also, Grissom started the year at 32 so unless he cut to get to 26 this year unlike last year, I think he is listed in the wrong class.
  14. I think Schitter was in the Al Smith brackets at 126 but was scratched.
  15. I believe those are the ones they turned in for seeding purposes.
  16. Mt Vernon Gorman should be 16-4 based off his listed record at Mater Dei Keller should be 16-5 Whoberry should be 16-5 Wilson should be 7-5 Dekemper 18-7
  17. Guys to keep an eye on with their state rankings and semi state rankings listed. Also added in any semi state qualifiers from last year. Paoli will have a few tough wrestlers and Crawford County will probably have one worth watching. Mt Vernon, Heritage Hills and Centerville lead the day with some serious state podium threats. #1 ST 106 Paul Konrath Mt Vernon Semi State qualifier Alston Jenkinson 113 Centerville Semi State qulifier Julian Suar 120 Mt Vernon #9 SS 138 Austin Killion Centerville #2 ST 170 Jake Rickenbaugh Heritage Hills #4 SS 182 Gabe Konerding Heritage Hills #10 SS 182 Bryce Robinson Centerville #14 ST HWT Dalton Miller Pike Central
  18. Updated again, still in the dark on Pekin Eastern, Providence and Charlestown.
  19. Is Josh Thomas from Forest Park still at 120? May be another guy to keep an eye on there.
  20. Floyds lineup is posted and the picks are updated. Yet to see Charlestown, Providence or all of Easterns lineup but I don't think I am too far off
  21. Moody got beat at least twice at the East Central duals last weekend. Negenard and the Crawford County kid. Not sure if Newton beat him or not.
