Barrett at 215 has beaten more than one ranked wrestler this season and his matches are all about the styles and how they go together. He could lose to an unranked wrestler that wrestles this way and then easily beat a ranked wrestler that wrestles another. Style match-ups are extremely important at those heavier weights.
That doesn't seem right saying the kids will be going friday, saturday, and sunday without practice. Can someone else give us some official rules on the issue? They should very well end monday because there is only three rounds and the last two rounds only consist of two matches for each weight class. (Another snowstorm projected on tuesday so they better try.)
That is an interesting fact and give the rules a good while and they will change. (Kind of like how the 4 seeds from regional now move on.) Potential problems have a way of getting fixed.
That's too bad. I remember him throwing headlocks as just a 103 pounder. I wonder if it was just him getting burnt out after all these years. I've seen it before.
As for the close ones:
130: Mullins will out technique Clark :-\
145: Maple will win easy over Uphaus if he wrestles like in sectionals :
152: Manning will major Bennet at least 8)
I Wrestle tonight at South Dearborn ... my coach said we only get three pounds off scratch weight. Is this true according to the rulebook? We got 4 lbs on monday and now we get three ??? And Im not for sure but I think the weigh-ins are at 4 not 5.
Connersville sent at least six wrestlers on to regionals so far:
103- House in finals against Phillips UC
112- Woodall in finals against Findley UC
119- Bottomley in 3rd 4th match
130- fosnight in 3rd 4th match
140- Maple in 3rd 4th match
145- Chapman in finals against Gassel UC
As of now the sectionals are still set back to Wednesday but Connersville school is already closed for Wednesday so my guess will be that they will have the championship round Thursday and keep regionals at Richmond on track for Saturday.
