  1. Coach Harmon: You are very correct in what you posted. The IHSWCA does a great job in putting together some of the better clinics and getting great people in to do them. Danny great job on getting a clinician that we can all learn from. We as coaches understand that we do have to do the job of learning from others. I appreciate all of the time that is put into putting these clinics on. Concerning the statement that Coach Struck made: We all volunteer to do this. All of us that are a part of this organization donate a number of our own hours time to accomplish the goals of the coaches association. It is never easy but we do the best that we can to provide a great organization to the coaches in the state of Indiana. If you would like to join the association and put in the time to volunteer to help in all that the IHSWCA does please feel free to contact me: Trent R. 5. Cameron is one of the hardest workers that you will ever be around. I am happy to see all of his hard work paying off beyond high school. Cam congrats on the showing and keep after it and only GREAT things will come. Make sure that Monix is putting in his time also. Lowell is very well represented on the Manchester team by two fine young men. 2 of the many kids that I really enjoyed coaching in my time at Lowell. Trent R. 6. Thoughts and Prayers from the Martinsville Wrestling Program. It is never good to loose one so young. Coach Staggs Martinsville High School
  7. It is a bad time in education right now. How in the world did you have 14 years and got a RIF notice?? That is just plain bad. It would be nice if our governer and secretary of education (I know that I did not capatilize them, they are not worth it) would understand what they are doing to education in the state of Indiana and the opportunities that they are going to take away from students.
  8. The prayers of Martinsville Wrestling club are with you and your wrestling family. It is never easy to lose someone young or old. Trent R. Staggs Martinsville High School Head Wrestling Coach

  10. I guess that was one heck of a 215 pounder that was seeded 3rd that won that meet. Glad to see the Lowell Boys doing so well. Supprised by the Champion at 171, that is a heck of a job from Johnson. Does anyone know how the semi-finals between Cleveland and the 215 from LC went. I tell you if Monix keeps wrestling the way he is, he may see the lights on Saturday. I know that he has to wrestle Myers and Estrada yet, but he is wrestling very well.
  11. I understand what the criteria is. I have a very good understanding of how all of this works. I do not need to have them explained to me. I just do not agree with them! Sorry for the mistake on who Monix beat in SS last year. It was an honest mistake. I do think that the 160 weight class final will be one of the best of the day. Kurt is a heck of a wrestler and looks to be very focused.
  12. 119- The match between Lamb and Petrov will be interesting. Lamb looked great during the Al Smith. If he wrestles this way the rest of the year he will be a state qualifier. 125-Brady will not know what to do not looking at a Petrov in the finals of this meet. It will be new for him. This is another kid that can never be over looked at tournament time. 160- Monix vs Estrada= Monix beats him at conference, puts a clinic on aganist Brooks at Semi-state and Estrada beats him to go to state. This will be a very explosive match. Has Estrada been at this weight class all year???? 215- This is a joke. If you do not seed Cleveland at 1st; he can not be any lower than 2nd with the Gary wrestler at 3rd. I understand the young man won this weight class last year and was a SSQ, but Cleveland was SSQ and is ranked 2nd in the state at this weight. The Gray wrestler has a 5-0 record. As I stated before ,the common sense of wrestling coaches has to be questioned some time.
  13. How does a wrestler that is ranked 2nd in the state, His only loss is by 1 to the #1 ranked kid in the state (2-1 final) in the second largest individual tournament in the state of Indiana get seeded behind a kid that has a 5-0 record???? There is someone that is pulling the wool over someones eyes. The LC kid should not get seeded ahead of him if he did not wrestle in the Al Smith. Why should the Cleveland boy be punished for going through one of the hardest tournaments, when the LC kid did not wrestle it. The common sense of coaches kills me sometimes. MATMAN
