  1. Just looking for an update, if anyone knows of a top four finisher from the Semi-States who will be definitely not be at Conseco due to injury.
  2. Most of the time if an alternate gets in we learn of it at weigh in? Do we ever find out a few days in advance, say a guy has a broken collar bone or something like that. Does his coach inform the alternate? Do we know of any such circumstances with regard to Friday? Will there be any of the top four from the semi-states not able to wrestle?
  3. The results provided by the site show the score of the 152 championship to have been 9-5. Also, consolation at 152, the Warsaw wrestler who took fourth place is ADAM Keener, not Andy (who graduated last year). The correct spelling for the Alternate at 119, is Bobby Marcuccilli.
  4. wow, progress is slow. How far along are they? What is the projected time (Chicago Time) for the FINALS?
  5. How is third place determined? Is there a "consolation" match between semi-final losers?
  6. So third place is decided by a match between losers of semi-final?
  7. What is the format at Semi-state? Are there wrestle-backs? Beginning at what round?
  8. I really do apologize if I have offended you. You do a great job here, working with what you are given. I am glad to be granted the privilege of coming to this site and reading all the excellent material and input from great authorities on wrestling throughout the state. It is not that they "aren't good enough," it is a matter of a few apparent typos, or errors in the information that was given to you in the first place. The IHSAA has corrected most of its problems, but this is THE ONLY PLACE to get the Brackets and the RANKINGS of individual athletes. Great Job Y2
  9. Two unbeatens at 103 are both at New Castle At 119 Two Unbeatens are both at Merrillville and also at Evansville And WOW, at 135 in M'ville three. Only possible for one to be left standing after all is said and done. 189 and 215 at Fort Wayne both have TWO in each class. And again THREE at 285 will duke it out in Merrillville
  10. Wrestlers with 3 or Less Losses, based on records posted at Indianamat.com Semi-state Brackets, verified with IHSAA site records. Records Not exceeding .500 are excluded. Wins May be at other weight classes than the one listed. There is No indication whether or Not forfeits are included in totals. 46 are from Merrillville SS, 54 are from the New Castle SS, 56 are from the Fort Wayne (Woodlan) SS, and Evansville has 44. * Asterisk indicates some variances from the Brackets posted here at this site, but many corrections have been made. 103 Ayersman 9 Lake Central 42-0 MV McKinley 9 Perry Meridian 44-0 NC Vore 12 FW Dwenger 37-0 FW Cody Phillips 9 Union County 41-0 NC Jarred Brooks 9 Warsaw 35-1 MV Kuhn 11 Evansville Reitz 47-1 EV Judy 9 Danville 40-2 EV Todd 12 Pendleton Heights 37-2 NC Price 10 Indianapolis Tech 35-2 NC Schroder 10 Rochester 37-3 MV Batt 9 South Adams 35-3 FW Boomsma 10 Bloomington S 33-3 (30-2) EV* (loss in Team Regional Finals?) 11. Will the IHSAA post official brackets for the Semi States ahead of time? Or they not do it because it is always a last minute thing with changes due to injured qualifiers being replaced by alternates?
  12. I am trying to figure out records. HOWEVER: 135 Goodwin, Perry Meridian should be 41-49-3, similar to his teammates: at 145, Tasseff, who is 40-1 and at 140 Tonte who is 39-2. IHSAA sectional results show Goodwin at 37-3, Regional at 41-4 (Second), but he also two wins at Team Regional. The jump from a total of 40 matches after the sectional, to 45 after the regional would suggest that the Team Regional wins are already included in that record shown in the individual regional results (41-4). WHAT is correct? ALSO: 140 Whitlow of Southmont is shown as Witlow in some IHSAA sources. Sectional result has it Whitlow and Regional Results has it Witlow. Which is correct?
  13. Is this correct? Possible Bracket Corrections 103 Boosma (Bloomington South) had a loss and a win in Team Regional Finals, making his record 32-3 29-2 after Sectional 32-2 after Regional Team Regional Win over Bowman, Loss to McKinley of Perry Meridian OR did the sectional record reflect Team Regional results? Not possible since the Team Regional was held AFTER the sectional. There must be one more loss And since the loss from the Team Regional is missing, it is likely that the WIN is missing too, making the correct record 33-3 Does anyone KNOW? ALSO: 189 Brownfield of Columbus North is sometimes spelled Brawnfield. Which is correct?
  14. It seems to me that there is a great deal of confusion, inconsistency, and incongruity in the various sources that post records of wins and losses for individual wrestlers. I am trying to sort this out for a definitive list of "Three Losses of Less." I will try to sort it all out tomorrow and put up an new list.
  15. Some of the Individual Win/Loss records are incorrect. My list will be posted soon, marked to show differences with an asterisk. I note that it is possible that results from last week's team competition may not have been included in individual records as shown on some Region Results. >Hawkins Crown Point at 112 seems wrong. >125 Tsirtsis before regional was 32-2, but after regional he is shown as 31-1 >125 Napules is questionable, likewise Acuna should be 35-4, Penn of Harrison is 39-4 >135 Dillon of Hobart before Regional wa 33-0, but is shown AFTER with 31-0. Likewise Roach of Crownpoint: before 34-0, after 32-0 >140 Surma Munster should be 42-0 152 McMurray before regional was 41-0, but is shown in Semi State at 39-0., like wise, Estrada of Munster before: 20-1, after 20-0. 160 Myers of Crown Point should be 34-0 189 Shrewsbury Crownpoint had two more wins from Last week Team Regional, and should be 34-0, 215 Travis of Merrillville has two more wins, should be 38-0
  16. Fully updated including the Seymour Team Regional and S Dearborn Sectional
  17. OK, thanks, but since these guys are from the South Dearborn sectional, I will wait till the results from that event are recorded. I decided to go ahead and update the list with guys from the S Dearborn Sectional, names noted with asterisk.
  18. It would seem that if a TEAM has the championship locked up as far as team points, then they could go ahead with the regional Wednesday. HOWEVER, the individual sectional champions must be established POST HASTE, since there will be plenty of other days to make up the team regional. To a certain extent, the rest of that individual will be at a slight disadvantage, not knowing what the brackets will look like. The other teams are all revealing who will go on the mat, since Saturday, but the South Dearborn teams are by this weather delay able to keep their entrants under wraps. And someone was exactly right in a previous post, the entire individual tournament should have been completed on Monday, starting at say, 3:00 PM. Hind sight is 20/20, but it would be good to bear it in mind for future weather problems. Oh, and for my ignorant benefit, as one who is so provincially cloistered up here in the wind blown cornfield wastes of northern Indiana, WHERE is South Dearborn? OH, I see: Lawrenceburg, Connersville, Batesville, Franklin County --Cincinnati suburbs.
  19. The results are finally posted at the IHSAA site. However, the individual win/loss records are all wrong. Unlike all the other results, these show only the win/loss record for the EVENT, not for the season. If coaches want to improve the sport then please propose to the IHSAA that there be a REQUIRED consistent standard form for reporting results for sectionals, regionals, semi-states. There are computer generated forms, there are faxed versions that are virtually unreadable --such a hodgepodge. Could we all get into the twenty-first century?
  20. OK, thanks, but since these guys are from the South Dearborn sectional, I will wait till the results from that event are recorded.
  21. The IHSAA site shows Penn with NO losses. What am I going to do? I wonder if the IHSAA in showing records for a particular wrestlers, shows the record limited to the weight class in which they entered the sectional, or do they include all matches. For instance, in roster move a 119 pound wrestler may get bumped up to 125 for tactical reasons and get a loss in a higher weight class. He may still be undefeated in his regular weight class. I want to know this nuance of detail in assessing the competition.
  22. The IHSAA sectional results page shows Barlow with FOUR losses. http://www.ihsaa.org/
  23. Great Idea, maybe you could put that list together and post in the Middle School section. I for one am simply interested in ON THE MAT competition, not awarded team points.
