  1. I rescinded my comments after looking over it. I think that in the 'middle weights' it will be good. 103 should but I haven't seen New Havens. New Haven sectional will be a two man race for almost all weights as well as the team. It will just be interesting to see how far those two people go.
  2. The final four from about 130-171 should be entertaining to watch. It looks like there are some good kids(name recognition, record) that will be wrestling.
  3. Yeah, he looked way better than a freshman which is why I may have been confused. Anyway it looks like there should be good matchups within the semistate. To me though I just don't see one bracket that is completely solid across both which is why I may think this one 'hasn't performed great at regionals'. I know there are good schools in each sectional just not many names that stick out to me individually I guess.
  4. I could have sworn they announced him as a freshman on Saturday at SAC which is why I was so amazed. They announced his record for his career which happened to be the same as the record for this season. And after a little facebook check he is indeed a senior. SSBeatReporter again looks ignorant.
  5. Its just you. You have the ACAC champ, the TRC champ, the SAC champ in this sectional. Forgot about that haha. I am just going on the weight classes I mainly pay attention to which cutoff the entire middle. That 103 from Dwenger is good and should continue to be good for the next three years.
  6. And how would that be? I imagine if Adist was the South rep he gave it to the other coaches on a silver platter. I
  7. Do you have the New Haven one? I imagine you do but you haven't posted it. You talking about Grider at three may have been since I didn't put him on my list but he expected to be at 1 but thought he could be at 2.
  8. Is it just me or is this sectional not that great? I mean I think that a majority of the SS kids from Carroll Regional will be from the NH sectional but that is just me. Allen shouldn't have a tough time at 215 and I don't think Schendel will either.
  9. I don't know what the seedings are but he might have some trouble. I don't see him having a cake walk. Both Morrison and Farrell are pretty solid wrestlers. Farrell lost his first match of the year to Morrison last Saturday. He went through the Westview thing really good and the Logansport 6-way.
  10. That is news to me but some crap if you ask me. He hasn't wrestled the greatest schedule but he has done a fine job. They haven't wrestled Heritage or New Haven and that might have something to do with it? He will make it out of here and hopefully regionals. He got third last year at sectionals and 4th at Regionals. He should beat Pappert IMO.
  11. There are a few weight classes that stand out to me. 112 and 189 should be fun to watch. At 112 there is Andy Franklin from Homestead, Chase Farrell from South Side and Troy Morrison(?) from Snider. At 189 there is Taylor Scott, and Kris Pappert of New Haven. Any other interesting classes to you guys? I know New Haven will come out with the team title but the individual competition should be fun to watch.
  12. Yeah, I know it sucks. Is there a set rule on 'out of bounds' because I have seen it either be called way to early or way too late and it has made or broken the match. I wouldn't go as far as to say Lovejoy is a class act, too strong of a word. But there is one person I would like to say is and that is Marqueen Suel of Harding. He wrestled a kid that he had absolutely no chance. When he picked him up he could have had his way with him but he took his time putting the kid down and pinning him.
  13. Yeah he got a FMC against Bishop Dwenger the other night and couldn't wrestle today. He for sure would have won 125 easily though if he would have.
  14. I will be at SAC but it won't be that great of wrestling I can already tell you that Chase Farrell will win 112 with the Elmhurst kid taking 2nd. Josh Grider will take 189, Marqueen Suel will take 171 and Aris Allen will take 215 followed by Dwenger's and then Chris Lamping(those two could be at either 2 or 3).
  15. It was an ugly score, but more importantly the Tony Lovejoy incident. From what I have heard he won't wrestle tomorrow at SAC and might not wrestle in sectionals. He somehow got DQ'd. The ref is a notorious Dwenger lover and I saw that just from watching him ref against(literally) South Side. Dwenger still would have won but there were two bad calls that lost two kids from SS a match.
  16. If he is that big the football coach will want him. The only person I have seen that has been able to be good at wrestling and good at football in this area is Aris Allen.
  17. i tend to think that of most fort wayne schools, dont hear about their wrestling programs too much Basketball reigns in Fort Wayne, but football is #2. That is why you don't hear much about their programs. Basketball is in the winter or football players want to lift and work out for the upcoming football year. They have some good wrestlers though, just not good programs.
  18. The best match of this semistate IMO will be Baker and Allen at 215. Both should come in heavily favored to make it to the finals and it wouldn't surprise me if Allen went into it undefeated seeing as I don't think he has lost yet, and won't at SAC on Saturday.
  19. While most of us may be too young to have witnessed it, many of us are curious to find out the details of it. I am, especially if it is more insane then calling an opponent's fan 'white trash' at a basketball game last year.
  20. Hard to believe that it is already time for this. I could throw off maybe five or six seeds but that probably won't help anything. 215 and 189 shouldn't be a contest though for 1st place. 112 probably won't be and the same with 125.
  21. If a guy moves up a weightclass and loses, how does that affect him? Also, if a guy were to say win all but two matches and those were to ranked guys would you rank him higher than a guy that is undefeated against no ranked opponents?
  22. A few things. Snider went down hill right after the coach incident in Indy. There used to be a lot of football players that would wrestle but now they work year round whether it is practicing or conditioning and there is also a lack of interest. Like it is said above the middle school stuff in Fort Wayne isn't as big because there is either AAU basketball or AAU baseball year round to go along with school sports. Middle school kids aren't interested as much because they have oppurtunities in other sports which leads to a lack of club wrestling. The only way a kid will get in it is because of a brother or a friend.
  23. Alright, we will see come February. That is all that counts right?
  24. I really see either of those two jumping ahead of anyone occupying the spots right now. Even if Grider takes the Carroll Regional, doesn't mean he will have an easier bracket. He would just have a 4th place finisher first, and then someone that took 2nd or 3rd. And no one knows the draw till after regionals is concluded, so he could fall into drawing someone from a lot tougher regional. The sectional and regional really doesn't have much to do with if someone should be ranked. A kid may be a regional champ, but there could be another regional that could have 3 guys that could beat him. You do or you don't? Grider was in their two rankings ago but hasn't lost a match but still fell out. Doesn't make the most sense to me, but what do I know I am from the city.
  25. I am not sure but they really haven't taken on anybody. Farrell is currently undefeated with all but two pins. Grider lost his two biggest matches to the Peru 189 and the Benton Central 189. I understand that you can't judge anybody if they haven't wrestled anybody but both should take the SAC, Sectional, and place in the top 2 at regionals.
