  1. Disclaimer: I know nobody at Perry, including the Littell's.

Mr. Littell's post was very clear to me (but thank you Uncle for doing many on here a service). He appears to be a loving Dad, trying to keep his young son's love for wrestling strong. It seems to me he has been very fair and even handed with his explanation of the situation. For those who don't feel comfortable with the "drama" or sensitive nature of all of this, that's understandable. However, it should be understood Mr. Littell responded with details only after his son was being talked about and (I'm guessing here) to avoid any speculation in the future, when his son was no longer wrestling 113 for PM. Sometimes pre-emptive full disclosure is preferable to rampant speculation. He took a chance by putting his information out there. I respect that. I sure hope people realize he has said many times, that he "wasn't in the room." He's been careful to be fair, but also to do what he thinks is best for his son. His boy is young thankfully, so hopefully this is a small blip on his wrestling career.

  2. Point of clarification: I wasn't talking smack. I think folks keeping track of total wins is not a good approach to ultimate success in an individual sport. I also don't believe keeping track of one's own points in a team sport is a wise thing to do. Just my opinion, which I have a right to express. And of course you can blast me for it. You do a lot more expressing yours on this board, than I do obviously.

  3. Yep, you're right OTR. "Lots" is relative and subjective. I am guessing if every person who knows a current wrestler with 100 wins, were to post such, it would be a very long thread. I think the two mentioned in this thread are underclassmen and are not State Qualifiers, so logic would say...many (lots) of seniors, who have advanced to state, are likely in the 100 Club. I suspect many of the "elite" wrestlers in Indiana don't even know exactly how many wins they have. That's why the entire thread made me laugh. Imo, Good coaches, parents and athletes don't have any idea what their (or their kids) career records are, especially midseason.

  4. I understand it is 4 vs 1 and 3 vs 2, when four regionals go into a ss. I don't understand how it is determined which Regionals 4 meets which Regionals 1? Does it alternate from year to year and is it the same in every weight class? Is it possible to look at a SS bracket from last year and know what this years will look like? Also, if Regional A's 1 is paired against Regional B's 4 at 106, will it be the same in every weight class? Thank you.
