  2. hmmmmmmm I am thinking it was the grassy knoll and maybe not the book depository :) :)
  3. Well I agree 85 that Castle did good but you have to admit that momentum played a big part. If Castle had started at 103 o2 119 it changes the dynamics. I think this is good for our sport down in SO IN and its good to have healthy competition. It will raise the level of the kids from all the schools a notch or two all the down to the little kids programs. Good luck to all the boys who made it through to Regionals this weekend....
  4. Not true and I wont dignify this with a response. If you were there then you would know what happened. If they had spit on the peerson in question (and there were 4 of them) the Castle person would have been taken to jail not just asked to leave. Dont throw out speculations unless you were there 1st hand. I was and so were some very reputable MD parents there who would back it up also. Things just got out of hand and ugly and truly there is no room for any of that on either side ever... Hats off to the boys...what a night for everyone...MD made it very close and it could have gone either way..
  5. Dont doubt me my man...I will always come through. Kind of anticlimactic for Chad W. It was a great night of wrestling. Props to the Castle boys...they brought it when they needed to. Long night and I have a 6am meeting...I will catch up with you tomorrow amigo
  6. Little Welch prob 112 next year Little Thomason prob 152 - 160 next year Little Cuz Powless prob 152 - 160 next year Teddy ( a beast at 200 ? I think) Welch has the best shot at Varsity next year as the others will be battling the older Welches, Weikel and Rosey at the upper weights for Castle. Also you never know who will step it up after Jr High as I remember Ryan Mann not wrestling much as an 8th grader but really came into his own in HS.
  7. top 4 huh........well we will see..I love how everyone talks but the real action will be on the mat.....
  8. Pettijohn @ 152 and Mann @ 171 :) ;D
  9. SWASHBUCKLER, I'm having trouble understanding your reply to my post. I don't think I mentioned in any way at all that MD wrestled a weak schedule. I saw every match MD wrestled this year, and I know how tough the teams they wrestled were. I typically travel to Cincinnati for the SWOWCA tournament, and talk about brutal, and St. Louis can be a meatgrinder. I'm not sure what excuse you think I used in my post. I sure don't see one. My point was this, Mater Dei isn't chopped liver and Castle beat them. Therefore, Castle must be given all the respect that they deserve. This is the best Castle team ever, and they have an excellent chance of winning it all. I for one, will be at Center Grove rooting for them. Beers on me Running Trails!! As long as we dont have to run trails after we drink them...LOL
  10. Don't hold back tell us how you really feel........ WOW...no kidding.....
  11. man at 125 there are going to be some good battles and really anyone of the kids from evansville could win,but EMD and ER are the two to look for sietz will win 130 exactly Andrew Seitz is a beast!! He has a great shot of getting his ticket punched for Friday night. My opinion is there will be more than we think on Fridayin Indy from MD, Memorial, Reitz, Castle, Mount Vernon and Harrison... Been watching Andrew Seitz since Jr. High and he has a motor that doesnt quit...smart wrestler and a GREAT GREAT guy....No one would be a better rep at 130 than Seitzy!! Didnt walker beat him at team regionals? Walker did beat him 10-9 but I don't think he could pulll that off again i dont know, but this isn't team regionals
  12. My bad...you are right...Todd is amazing!!! He likes to stir the pot....Ha is one of a kind.....
  13. I agree on coach Harmon..There is a lot more than just the head guy though. You got to look at the assisants. They are the ones who dont get paid much, if at all, and they are teaching those kids on the mat and in life every day. They do it because they want to. They give up their family time to spend it with a bunch of sweaty kids. With Coach harmon is Brandon Taylor and Mike Brown. They are amazing with the kids!!!!!
  14. I'm on board with your desire for sportsmanship and personally I disagree with your perception that the southern part of the state doesn't have it. I think we do!! On the other side of that you are going to see booing anywhere you go in our state or any other state it's human nature get over it and move on. Please correct me if I'm wrong but weren't you just on here a couple of weeks ago violating the rules you now propose?? Or was then something different and now you realize you might need some of us rednecks in a couple of weeks when you hit Center Grove?? Qoute from Grap41 on January 25th...... The dispute was over whether the wrestler really got hit in the eye. This has been called twice this year in matches that I have watched and both times it was late in the third period between these two wrestlers and called when the one went running backwards holding his eye. I think the timing of it happening two weeks in a row in the last seconds to get it to overtime is the reason it was so disputed. Good move on his part. I compare it to the punter that acts like he gets smashed into, so he can get a roughing the kicker call. As long as there will be new officials, he can use it again next week Could someone explain the slaps, pokes (intentional or inadvertent), and head butts being called for points. I have witnessed much disparity in officials calls this year. I understood that any intentional contact with the face was a technical violation (?) and a loss of a point by the slapper, pokey, or butter. Is this correct and could someone elaborate? I do believe Ritter was poked. Pettijohn is a very defensive wrestler that does keep his hands high and moving quite a lot. *************WOW************Are You Serious!!!! Ritter should get an OSCAR for that performance!!! There is no love lost between these two. Actually the animosity comes from the Reitz boy as last year he wanted to fight Petti in the parking lot after the match. We looked at the video from some of the parents and have come up with a new measurement. It seems that from now on, anything that falls in the six inch range (the distance Petti's finger was from his eye) is now and forever more to be called a Ritter. So next week in the Super Bowl when a team is a 1/2 foot from the goal line. The announcers should proclaim that they are a "Ritter" away from a touch down. Some of the Reitz assistants and some unnamed fans also showed a lack of whatever after the match. Totally Redneck in my opinion..... I bet if I went back and looked at all of your old posts, we would find discrepancies in them also... I posted that for someone and I DO AGREE WITH IT..... I root for ALL the kids that come out of this area....so does everyone I know...
  15. I am passing along a message from a parent of wrestler on our team.... I happen to agree with it so I have no problem posting this... my only problem was the whole cut and paste thing...I have no Blackberry and computers are a mystery to me....LOL Thank God for the young generation who can teach us old folks how to move into the modern age...kicking and screaming!!! LOL BTW...I know this might rankle some feathers and be seen as an attack, but I assure you it is not meant to be that way....It happens on all sides.... Here is the post............................. What a disapointment Southern Indiana!! Is there a TEAM out there that their coaches or fans all conduct themselves with perfect conduct? I think not. Human Nature is not perfect. To be critizing each other on this web site, witch is being viewed by all is uncalled for! Fans BOOing other team wrestlers when their wrestler loses! (All the wrestlers or out there wrestling their hearts out, your wrestler or mine deserves respect.) Then that teams fans wonders why everybody cheers against them. What do they expect? Let's set a new GOAL for Southern Indiana! Where SPORTMANSHIP is an EXPECTATION! Let the Players play Let the Coaches coach Let the Officials officiate LET THE SPECTATORS BE POSITIVE This banner hangs in our school gym's lets respect it in which it was earned.
  16. Irishman, coming from another MD fan, You are an IDIOT! Please don't get on here and make the rest of our fanbase look as stupid as you. I'm not saying the bird wasn't fliped by some fans on the MD side, I didn't see it but I was watching the match not the crowd at that time. My only complaint about the fans on the rail was a boo or two when Sims went down for injury but I have seen MD boo for the same thing. In my opinion Sims was hurt as it showed a little more later in the match and had we all seen that a little earlier I don't think he would have been booed. Castle wrestlers, coaches, parents and fans..... GOOD LUCK! WIN STATE! Amen Brother
  17. Hey....cake is good...especially yellow cake with chocolate icing.....not much for weight loss but yum yum...LOL
  18. I wasnt paying attention to whoever was at the railing above the mats but I have heard things (from both sides). I am sure that you would agree that it was in poor taste on both sides and that the emotions were probably running real high. I would like and hope to believe that it was a select few but to be honest....I would think that most fans were watching where it counts and thats on the mat. I can tell ya that no parents were involved...they were in the bleachers, watching their boys. I would hope that even though Castle had never beaten you all, that they would at least act like they had been there before. From what I saw and heard, they did just that. Most MD parents and fans that I know were bummed they lost but actually came over to offer their support to us...That should say it all ...you win with dignity and lose with the same....Dude...you got some issues....kind of like trying to pick fights like Tags dad from Jeff...You both should hook up Not sure what the getting "STOMPED" at state meant. I am sure you are just having some withdrawl issues. I can tell you though that once Semi State, State and Team State arrives...everyone down here should root for all the boys from the south. I know we do.....
  19. ????? Poopy????? Awww Come on!!! :-[ :-[ :-[ : : ;D 2 hrs to go.....Go Castle!!
  20. BB....not sure by your name if you are a Castle person or not. But I will say that by you pie in the sky reply to this you obviously dont have a wrestler on the team. SIAC is a big deal to any wrestler. They all want to win but to win the way Reitz did was pretty much horse pucky. This was a real tough loss for Petti and the way it went down was unbelievable. Those ref's were blowing calls all day and if Petti had lost that match in a way that was his fault, then you would be correct. Dont tell Petti the sun came up today...it didnt by the way..... Not digging on you personally dude but you got to quit being so pie in the sky and show some meat and teeth sometimes.... The way that match went down and some others for some other teams...Central etc... leaves me very apoplectic man.....geez
