  1. I took a look at the trophy we won at the Twin Lakes Sectional last year and you wouldn't believe what it says on it,"Congratulations on winning the worst sectional in the state". You know what? The boys who worked hard to win it our still very proud of it. Maybe instead you should point out that our sectional is comprised of 7 1a schools, 2 2a schools, and 2 3a schools. We probably have the smallest average enrollment per school of any sectional. Because yes size matters! Please don't tell me we just don't work hard enough. What would be your plan to "develop" better wrestling in our area? My mom told if I had nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. I remember you there, I don't have anything at all to say.
  2. Rumor has it that Johnson will be at 119 this weekend. Might not get to see him and Rehn wrestle again.
  3. West Central vs Taylor 60-14 West Central vs North Judson 51-21 West Central vs North White 51-26 West Central vs Culver Comm. 36-37 lost the match on the fourth criteria Three way tie for first on our pool, Culver lost to North White, We beat North White but lost to Culver. We won the pool by having the most pins. We advanced to the finals against Twin Lakes who was 4-0 in their pool. West Cental over Twin Lakes 46-30. Three wrestlers were 5-0 for the day, Dillan Rehn (112-119), Evan Neihouser (135-140), and Angus Cameron (152-160). No individual Champions because you had to go 5-0 in one weight class.
  4. 1st period Rehn gets the takedown. gets reversed and gives up backfall points. 2nd period Rehn reverses Johnson rides him out. 3rd period Johnson takes bottom and gets ridden out. Plenty of room for improvement from both.
  5. Cameron (WC) over Green (REN) 6-4 in OT, believe Green was undefeated
  6. Dillgus we also beat Mississinewa, dropped a close one to CMA and lost to Delphi
  7. West Central 3-2 for the day. 42-36 Winamac. 12-61 Delphi, 51-30 Caston, Miss 66-15, and CMA 35-41. Two individual champs, Dllan rehn at 112, and Evan Neihouser at 140.
  8. I believe you get those from your AD.
  9. I said stay out of trouble, not get out of trouble two different things alltogether. Can we repeat? It will be an uphill battle for sure with everyone we lost, but only time will tell.
  10. Good Luck Chad and I hope Steve has given you a few pointers on how to stay out of trouble with the A.D..
  11. Anybody know who isn't wrestling at 130 from the Logan Regional? We got the call today that our 130 is in.
  12. Our record now stands at 28-6. Our losses are Delphi twice, Beech Grove, Fountain Central, NorthWestern, and Michigan City. Coach Kenny Nielsen P.S. Good luck Delphi at team State. Thanks goes to Coach Atwood for the little talk he gave to our wrestlers, they really appreciated it, and so did I.
  13. I would like to thank everyone for all of the nice comments. We did our best on Saturday and Wednesday we will do our best to make a little noise against Delphi. I would like to say to the new coaches in the gym, Burven and Hardy. There is always a little downturn in the wrestlers when a new Coach starts, but by the end of the year you guys both really had the kids heading in the right direction. Our little Sectional will definitely be very interesting in the years to come. Bomber coaches you guys giving my son one of your passes was very nice. To the loyal fans, I was very proud to share this moment with you. In many ways you made it possible for us to do what we did. Mad I should thank you also. A washing machine won't work without an agitator. Thanks for being our agitator. Coach Kenny Nielsen
  14. Thank you mad, I hear that crow is mighty tasty!! I first want to say that I am only replying to set some facts straight. The credit for our win goes to the wrestlers who got out on the mat and proved themselves, again. The fact that you believe everyone allowed this to happen is laughable, everyone else was out there trying to win also. Why is there always an excuse? Last week it was all of the forfiets, this week Winamac got 4 (1 was inj. def.), and we got 2. Are you trying to say that everyone should have been out to get us? Fact is there were more people hoping that we won than Winamac. The no-shows added a bit of drama to the day, Rowe needs your prayers, that is all I am going to say. There were three more no shows, Perkins Winamac (must still have the flu), Kramer Frontier and Moore Lewis Cass. The Trojans have basically the same placings as Winamac, one first place each, three second place each, two third place each, we had two fourth place, Winamac one, we had four fifth place Winamac three, and sixth place Winamac had three and we had none. Trojans scored 12 wrestlers and Winamac scored 13 wrestlers. Trojans take eight wrestlers to Regionals, Winamac seven. Those are the facts, figures can lie and liars can figure!! Obvious pin at 171, from the floor no way. The referees did a very good job, were there times that they made bad calls? Of course there were. Do us the favor of starting a thread trying to guess the score of us against Delphi. The last time we met was at the Winamac Super Six, where we beat Winamac 38-37 and lost to Delphi by 6-71. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a Merry Christmas!!
  15. West Central 215.5 Winamac 213 Logansport 195.5 Pioneer 184 Twin Lakes 159 Rensselaer 136 Lewis Cass 114 South Newton 111 Caston 106 North White 98 Frontier 24 Trojans first sectional victory in 32 years of wrestling!!
  16. Team Scores West Central 215.5 Winamac 213 Logansport 195.5 Pioneer 184 Twin Lakes 159 Rensselaer 136 Lewis Cass 114 South Newton 111 Caston 106 North White 98 Frontier 24
  17. This is the first time in West Central's thirty-two year history of wrestling that we have won Sectional. In 1982 we lost by 1/2 point to North Newton, a team that I was on. Thank you hogleg, we had a lot of help from all of the teams today.
  18. Any truth behind the rumors that Perkins at 171 from Winamac is going to be a no show?
  19. My favorite was when a new coach came to the meeting without any of the needed documents, he said his assistant coach had them and he was on vacation. Shaker bottle needed to draw byes and forfiets.
  20. So when the Trojans get their trophy it is going to say that they only won because the other teams couldn't fill all of their weight classes? Do you know how the forfiets are drawn? You are trying to say that no one else got any forfeits? The Trojans had 12 out of 14 wrestlers placeing in the top 4 one first place, five second place, five third place and one fourth. It takes a team effort to win, not just the individuals who win the championships! The Trojans are very proud of their accomplishments this season and nothing anyone can say will make us feel any different.
  21. West Central 199.5 Pioneer 183.5 Winamac 183 North White 109.5 South Newton 92 Caston 80 Frontier 54 Trojans win, but hope to have a better showing next wek.
  22. This is very funny being the middle of the joke. To all that think I am special I apologize. They told me in Special Ed class that we were all special. ;D Clives cooking is the best, just look at the size of her boy. Yes I am glad to be classless(ha ha), and I will always love 103 as long as I have one.
