  1. Dear IHSWCA Association members, and those that need to sign up:

So much going on, I hope I cover it all here!  This is my second run as IHSWCA President and so much has grown! During my first time around (as VP) we started the duals and what an event it has turned out to be!  You (all that participate and host), have turned this into something bigger and more prestigious than we could have ever dreamed of when we started it!  Thank you Greg Ratliff, even through your retirement as President, for continuing to work on this awesome event.  Thank you to our IHSWCA State Duals hosts. Without our hosts - Martinsville, Franklin, and Brownsburg, we couldn't have done it. Congrats to all those who participated!

Gary Myers and team with the IHSGWA, wow!!!!  I got to go to the southern regional at Edgewood and then to state finals.  The ticket round at Edgewood, for myself and for those girls, rivaled what we see in the ticket round at semi state. Girls and coaches cried together.  Those that advanced had tears of joy.  Those that lost in the ticket round knew their season had ended.  Either way, it was an amazing experience to witness and verified that our sport is truly for all people.  The IHSWCA will have their presentation to sanction Women's Wrestling to the IHSAA on March 1.  Supporters, please keep your fingers crossed. Thank you Edgewood, Kokomo and Maconaquah for hosting these events.

We all became coaches to help kids be the best version of themselves that they can become.  We "love" wrestling but what we really love is working with kids through wrestling.  Our sport has amazing teaching power.  Please keep in mind a few things as the "stakes get higher".  What an awesome thing it would be to have two opposing coaches coming together for the idea of "what can we do today to help each others kids."  With the passion we already possess,  our growth could multiply!   Good luck in the post season!! Thank you all for what you do for kids (and wrestling).

    Danny Struck

    IHSWCA President

    Jeffersonville HS, Indiana
