  9. 6th grade and above - 5-6:30/7 pm First 3 are on Mondays, after spring break they are all on Wednesday's Feb 29 – CUMBERLAND UNIVERSITY - 2x State Champ Steven Sandefur was in - 46 kids from multiple middle schools and 3 high schools - 60 minutes of drilling, 30 minutes live - great start! March 7 - Adam Wilson - Trine - 60+ in attendance from New Washington, Eastern Pekin, Jeff, Madison, and Jennings County March 14 – Steven Bradley – Marian University Head Coach – (new NAIA program!)- 45 from Jeff, eastern Pekin and new Washington- coach Bradley showed some great stuff we requested!!! Spring break April 6 – Lindsey Wilson College - they sent two 4x state champs from Ohio and FL to show technique to the 40+ athletes from Jennings County, New Washington and Jeffersonville that came April 13 – SAINT CATHERINES - 48 from Jeff, Jennings, and New Albany - worked a lot of great tricks of how to get legs out from bottom, then went with a great live session April 20- Jason Warthan - University of Indianapolis - great session with 30+ from Floyd Central, Jeff, and Jennings County - Coach warthan and Brandon Nelson ran a great clinic! April 27– James Flint- Lindsey Wilson College - 37 kids from Jeff and JC went for two hours with this 4x state champ from Brandon Florida ------ May 4 – Chad Red Sr. / Jr. - wow!! Aprox. 55 kids from around Louisville KY, Jeff, Avon, new pal, brownsburg, floyd central, new albany, salem and jeffersonville. Chad Red Sr. and Jr. put on a show!!! I had never got to watch them in a practice setting. But I will say that same energy you see on the mat under the lights is there for an entire practice. Due to traffic it took them four hours to get here (2:30pm to 6:30pm) but they stayed until 8:30 wrestling all comers, and showing some of the best technique I had seen in a long time. Coach Red's mat room coaching philosophy and the way he ran the room was outstanding. Every kid felt like a stud - if I were an administrator evaluating a teacher - he hit everything you were looking for in a classroom. Positive energy, all kids on task at all times, relevant information given, and the "student/teacher" interaction was non stop. If you get a chance to be in a practice ran by C-red and son, do so. May 11 – CANCELLED May 18 – IU - 35 guys from Jeff, New Albany, Eastern, New Washington all working together to become better wrestlers! Coach Goldman took them through some awesome top stuff!! May 25- Manchester - Chad Cook- 28 guys, great hand fighting, underhooks, and drill games - great passion for manchester!!!! June 1 - cancelled tonight - (although we will have practice 2:45-4) all June - 6-7:30 - will let you know if we have clinicians

The 2015 Big Ten, NWCA and InterMat Coach of the Year, Ryan concluded his ninth season in Columbus by watching both Logan Stieber and Nathan Tomasello win NCAA titles on the way to the squad's first ever team title. Additionally, the Buckeyes also ended a 64-year Big Ten title drought, winning the championship in front of a home crowd at St. John Arena. In all, Ryan has coached four different student-athletes to eight national championships as Logan Stieber (141 pounds) was a four-time champion, J Jaggers (141 pounds), the 2009 Ohio State Male Athlete of the Year, was a two-time champion in 2008 and 2009, Mike Pucillo was the 184-pound champion in 2008 and Nathan Tomasello the 125 pound champion in 2015. In the NCAA championship team race, the Ryan-led Buckeyes have finished in the Top 10 in eight of the last nine seasons, including the 2015 national title and back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2008 and 2009. Additionally, Ryan and his staff have coached 14 NCAA finalists - Stieber (2012-15), Jaggers (2008, 2009), Pucillo (2008, 2009), Tomasello (2015), Kyle Snyder (2015), Nick Helfin (2014), Lance Palmer (2010), Reece Humphrey (2009), J.D. Throughout his tenure as the head coach of Ohio State, Ryan, a three-time national coach of the year, has maintained a high standard of excellence for his student-athletes. In addition to the successes of Jaggers, Pucillo and Stieber on the national level, under Ryan's guidance Lance Palmer (2007-10) became just the second four-time All-American at Ohio State. (Tommy Rowlands was the first). Ryan, a native of Wantagh, N.Y., is averaging about three All-Americans a season having coached 23 selections during his seven-year term. Within the Big Ten Conference, Ryan has coached a quartet of Buckeyes to league titles in Pucillo (184 pounds in 2008), Palmer (149 pounds in 2010), Logan Stieber (133 pounds in 2012 and 2013) and Hunter Stieber (141 pounds in 2013). Prior to coaching at Ohio State, Ryan was the head coach at Hofstra from 1995-2006. While with the Pride, Ryan earned Eastern Collegiate Wrestling Association and Colonial Athletic Association Coach of the Year honors seven times. He also was named New York State Coach of the Year twice. Leading Hofstra to six consecutive conference titles, Ryan and the Pride recorded a 47-match (46-0-1) conference unbeaten streak in dual action which served as the nation's longest conference unbeaten streak. Ryan also was an assistant coach at Indiana from 1992-94. Ryan earned his bachelor's degree in education from Iowa in 1993. He and his wife, Lynette, have four children, Jordan, Jake, Teague and Mackenzie

  15. BEST OF BRAND INSTRUCTIONS - INDIANA COACHES First, I want to welcome you to the Best of Brand Awards! I am excited to work with you and your state this year to help grow the sport! With that being said, it is time to kick off the registration process so we can get the ball rolling. For programs to get involved, they simply need to fill out the registration form below so me and my staff can start tracking them on social media. Please forward the link (and this email if you want) ASAP so we can get the process rolling. Encourage them to register by November 15, 2015 if possible! Let me know once you have done this so I can move forward with promoting the awards in other ways. Registration Link (Indiana): http://goo.gl/forms/RYLDwLDgIi Once they have done this, they really just need to start getting active on social media promoting their program. We will create a Twitter list that programs can subscribe to so they see what other programs are doing well. Important Note. Please tell programs that they only need to fill out this form to register for the Best of Brand Awards. The registration for the state award will automatically qualify them for consideration for the national awards. I say this because not all states are involved yet and we will be sending out a national call for submissions that some of the coaches may receive through the NWCA email. They can ignore this when it comes out. To avoid confusion, let coaches know that we will follow up later in the year about the Added Value Video and Better Than Good Graphic categories. They should be thinking about these so they create them during the year, but the call for submission for them won’t take place until March. Sincerely, Coyte Trouble with this? email dstruck@gcs.k12.in.us and Ill send you link to forms

  22. I guess nobody at the meeting has cared enough to change it? "Internet tough guy".... Are you able to hack my texts and read what people say off line that don't want to be called out on here? I know a number of people that are on the board that could change it done read forums because the negativity drives them nuts
  23. We do, but there are hundreds of them and most of them start off so negative that they are a turn off to the person that can actual make a difference. Many people doing the things to make the biggest difference don't have time to go through all the threads We do, but there are hundreds of them and most of them start off so negative that they are a turn off to the person that can actual make a difference. 24. Plenty of people that love the volunteer work these people do. Would always love more hands in hell, not forum nagativity- been a fun discussion, and all I learned was all I knew before- off to football Oops "hands on help" " I figure I'll just jot them on here". - now that is a super way to get things done- write suggestions on a forum for others to do. Awesome.
