  4. Having this dual tournament is not a reason as to why better teams will separate themselves from middle or lower level teams just like Alex wrestling in the midlands did not separate him from his middle of the road individual competition. That groundwork was laid way before then. These teams and individuals separate themselves in the off season.
  5. I know it was last year but Jared's headlock in the finals was nasty.
  6. This is from a head baseball coach in Indy area who has been a head coach for over 20 years: There are no rules until school starts again in the fall. Then I think it is 4 or 5 players. And I?m pretty sure that pertains to high school age only. Some travel teams in HS will actually continue to play into October etc?
  7. Perry Meridian RTC-The RTC will start next week-a week from today. Great practices and great partners.
  8. Perry will not start their RTC till a week from today. Hope to see everyone there. Great groups and tough practices.
  9. That rule does not apply for summer baseball. In fact here in Indy a bunch of the schools play in a league and even have their school name. I am sure it's that way all over the state
  10. I am checking on that again AJ and will get back with you.
  11. Karl, no I did not say they are being coached by their indiana paid coach. I said kids are being coached during moratorium and in particular kids who are trying to win a National title. And, they are not breaking the rules by the way. They are not skirting the rules, not bending, not getting around.....They are following the rules yet might be at a camp, academy, personal trainer....just as I said two pages ago. Also, no you did not clear things up. You said you inquired because you had a kid who wanted to go. Why didnt you simply tell your kid that its against the rules. Sorry, check that. Its against the "spirit of the rule", so we wont even ask because we dont want you to be ineligible. Why all of this if you knew two pages ago that the rules were going to be broke(you specifically said that) and the intent of the rule was for them to do nothing(you said that as well). Why did you even bother posting. No, you make no sense.
  12. No loophole found. in 2010, Specifically talked to IHSAA and got permission. Joe, congrats on creating a website where you can try and diminish and tarnish what people have worked for. You are successful at that.
  13. You did not ask if I coached them. Check your post. You asked if they are coached and I said absolutely some of them are coached. I did not say I coached them. I even believe that a few years back one of the ISWA dual teams was competing over moratorium. I will check on that. No, I wont. Its not important. I will also list certain camps around the state and country that fall over those dates. No I wont. Its not really important. As far as DD this has been answered several times including any past years when teams where at Disney. Per IHSAA, as long as the high school paid staff is not coaching them they are not in Jeopardy of any infractions. My AD is by the book. No grey area. The IHSAA is by the book. No grey area. So, do you think we just hid the fact that we were in Disney along with 16 other indiana teams. We all snuck in and out and nobody saw us. You are the one that questioned the "spirit of the rule". Why would you even ask about one of your athletes going if you felt the spirit of the rule is that they dont compete. You make no sense at all.
  14. No here is a better question. Why was the post highjacked from the kids in the first place. Once the Dynamic Duo were informed that no rule was broken(this is not new. Teams have been going here for years)then they attacked the spirit of the rule and speculated as to teams cheating. That is why all this garbage has continued. We as coaches do not answer to this board. We answer to our administration and the IHSAA. And when questions are put out there with the intent of demonishing what kids have done or will do just to show up somehow as if they are saying "were going to get you" it's a stab By the way Joe if I don't want Joey to eat M&M's in my class I will tell them no M&Ms. Pretty simple. It's not rocket surgery:)
  15. Hey. Batman and Robin. I gotta go to practice and try to win a state title but I will see you in the batcave later to discuss the rules that nobody broke that you are so sure are skirted. Whatever that means.
  16. I would guess you are right in the regards of kids needing time away. In fact we have a policy in place where we tell our kids we don't want to see them for three weeks(actually if they don't go to Fargo it's about 4 weeks). But I would beg to differ that the serious Fargo AA candidate is taking a full week off two weeks prior to leaving or a week prior to their team camp. No way!! And you are speculating as to who is going to coach their kid on July 2nd or 3rd. Why? Is this topic of importance to you? Or do you just try and create topics of a questionable nature. You are setting people up prior to any wrong doing for what reason?
  17. So all the kids that are at jrob camp and all the other camps going on should be shut down. And, are you making up the spirit of the rule or did you read that somewhere. My interpretation of the rule is that exaclty what it says. No contact from the coaching staff. Do you want to take a poll and see how many kids will be at a camp, at an academy, training for Fargo...do you think the kids training for Fargo are taking 7 days off. Really?? a few weeks before? I doubt it. Maybe we should not have Fargo since it puts a strain on the kids that want to win since they have to train all summer.
  18. duals competition is June 29th-July 2nd.
  19. Thats funny. I still go back to Fleeger's quote about Jared. He said when he grabs you its like a dog with a chew toy. Great stuff. By the way, its ironic because early in the day I was talking to Batt in the locker room about his shoes. Love the Gables.
  20. Joe, why do you do the things you do sometimes. As regard to the Disney Duals you are trying to set programs up so that even if they do the right thing there will be doubt. Two years ago the last day of Disney was the first day of Moratorium week and from what I could gather no rules were skirted as you put it. Do you have some dirt on someone you would like to share or are you just painting this dreary picture for someone to look at. Joe, you do some really good things for all kids, our PM kids included, but I think that you need to look at what you are saying prior to saying it. It gives people the wrong impression. If moratorium says you can have contact up to a certain date then are you supposed to stop contact the day before so that the IHSAA looks favorably on you. Why? You follow the rule and that is all that is asked. I could be jumping the gun and you could have info on a school that I do not have but lets not shoot the horse before its dead. He may make a good pet for the little kids someday. Thanks again for all you do, Coach T Great job with Lee by the way
  21. Abraham. Great job. Tell your dad you are a better stud than he was Lol
  22. At our sectional Aaron Moss passed out a survey and also coaches applications to join the association. Hopefully this happened all around the state.
  23. Sunday live again at Perry Meridian this upcoming weekend. 11-1 thus coming Sunday for elementary and middle school wrestlers. Middle school come and get some comp the week before middle school state.
  24. Harp, so sorry to hear the news. We are here for you bro. Jimmy
