Watched for an hour and 20 minutes, right when the kid from our school came up to wrestle, that mat went black. Can anyone tell me what happened with the 106 on mat 2?

Just wanted to give an attaboy to James Troyer @ the Peru regional. I didn't care for him when i wrestled on the 80's, but have to give him props fir being one of the few refs that always puts himself between the kids and hitting tables, walks, gym floors and such. He did it today and I've seen him do it repeatedly more than any other ref in our area. Keeping the kids safe is what they're there for, good job Troyer!

Congrats to Evan,got to help coach him when he started is wrestling career at Oak Hill Wrestling Club, was always a hard worker, great kid

So, what would Oak Hill's score be in 2a, since we might end up there?

Oak Hill with 10, 3 seniors. Also had a soph that got injured 3 weeks ago, that could have made it.

It's funny, I've seen more stalling called this year, than any year I've watched wrestling. Usually they don't call it like that till semi state.

Well, if you have 6 state champs, and the other team has a full line up. Guess who wins, and is there for, a better "team", lol

Again, I don't understand why we're ranked at 1A, if we're not even sure we're 1A.

Not that it means anything but we beat 1A #6 53-6 tonight, we have 3 seniors, they have 6.

What am I supposed to look at? We don't even have the same line up, but, I'm sure you're way out of our league any way. These rankings are pointless, because they're not used. Also, I don't understand the point of putting us at 1A, if you don't even know if we'll be there. It's like a broken record, every year. Then when it gets closer, oops, you're 2A, but not good enough. So, just stop.

Lol, this has been the debate since this started. I'm sure by state time next year, we'll be back in 2A, doesn't matter to me, my youngest graduates this year.

So, these "calculations" can change whenever? Crazy, we were 4 in 2a, did considerably better against Carroll than Belmont, but, we're not considered a good enough team this year, because we didn't have as many state qualifiers?

Wow, we went from 4 to not even in, and haven't lost since the last rankings. Not that these mean anything. We also lost to Carroll by 16, Belmont lost by 25.

If only we could compete this weekend. Our only loss was to Carroll 41-25.

Unfortunately for Oak Hill, they will have to qualify for NEXT years Team State based on this season's results of their individuals in the State Tournament, so if they are as good as they say they are, they should have some underclassmen advance far into the State Tournament and that should hopefully be enough to score enough points to be invited to wrestle at Team State next season.

Based on the new information from the IHSAA:

 

New Palestine and Jasper are now 2A

 

Muncie Central is now 3A

 

Oak Hill is still in 1A (as they should have been last year) and Centerville drops to 1A.

 

Lapel, Oldenburg Academy, Faith Christian, Christian Academy and Lighthouse Academy all dropped programs.

Maybe if certain teams would report their results....maybe like Oak Hill for instance
