Should be a interesting tournament for sure and if it is run anything like the Middle School it should be a very exciting day of wrestling.

I am a CP alum (class of 94) and did wrestle for Coach Vlink. The point I am trying to make michael is know that the teams that make it to this level are always ready to reload for the upcoming year. Hey use CP as an example and they lost a ton last year and many thought they could not make it back to state and look where they were at. That is all I mean by what I said as Coach Vlink always taught me we let our actions speak for us not our words.

Michael as a former CP wrestler I wish you would stop, because it is obvious you have no real history of the sport and would know that Mishawaka could be down next year and I mean could but we all know they will be a force in the state for many years to come.

Do all teams that go to state get a medal or is it just the final 4?

Mishawaka continues to roll is my guess. Yorktown was to close with a team that the Cavemen beat pretty good.

This sounds very interesting, but the questions that I would have is are we talking about working from the middle school season (basically Saturday meets) or ISWA folkstyle season (Sunday meets)? Well stated VMI and it was the same way when I wrestled for CP from 1990 to 1994. In fact like someone else said earlier in the post, back when I wrestled no one shook the other coaches hand after a match so I guess we all had bad sportsmanship back then. I will say this I learned a lot from Coach Vlink and use a lot of what I have learned from him with my wrestlers. They are very respectful and have good attitudes whether they win or lose. So, once again as I said in another post please get off your soapboxes and look at the whole picture of how a team acts rather then just one small aspect. Although I will say it is kind of cool that they still wear the same style that I wore when I was back at CP and I will say this about Coach Vlink he is all over the details about how his teams looks and acts.

I agree about the CP singlets, but if they were ever to try something different it would be cool if they inverted the colors Red lettering on white would look pretty cool.

Actually in the rules of baseball the run does not count unless he crosses home plate so the game was not over until he crossed home plate, but that is besides the point. As I said before I can name many other examples and no one has an issue with those and that was my point. -

"10 seconds left in the game football players sneak up behind their coaches and dump a cooler of Gatorade on their coach." Is this disrespectful to the other team cause there is time left on the clock? "3 or 4 seconds on the clock basketball player throws ball in the air to celebrate a title." Is this disrespectful to the other team cause their is time left on the clock? "Kirk Gibson pumps his fist as he runs the bases after hitting a home-run." Is this disrespectful to the other team cause he has not crossed home plate? These are just a few examples and no one EVER complains about them. So, please get off your soapboxes and let the kid enjoy his third state title he has earned it. -
