  1. Top 10 Signs You're Obsessed with Wrestling 10. You've set IndianaMat.com as your homepage. 9. Your status on MySpace and Facebook reads "at a wrestling meet" 4-5 times a week. 8. You wake up with Sectional Brackets dancing in your head. 7. Instead of "beloved wrestling mom", a member of your favorite wrestling team has dubbed you the "wrestling nazi" (with a smile). 6. You stay glued to your computer screen reading the live chat logs during the finals at Cadet/Junior Nationals in Fargo, because the live video feed isn't working. 5. You're stomach is tied in knots from Thursday until your team's wrestling tournament is over on Saturday. 4. You cannot go to bed until you have researched every kid that your favorite wrestler might come in contact with on Saturday. 3. You cannot go to bed until you have researched every kid that has wrestled every kid that your favorite wrestler might come in contact with on Saturday. 2. Alt+Tab has become your favorite keyboard function at work.* And, the #1 sign that you have totally gone over the edge.... #1. You spent the 40 minute drive to work coming up with a Top 10 List to post on IndianaMat.com, and then actually posted it. *For those of you unfamiliar with Alt+Tab, I am about to teach you a very useful function that might get you fired if you don't use it fast enough. 1) Keep IndianaMat.com open. 2) Open the software application you are supposed to be working on. 3) Hold the "Alt" key and then press the "Tab" key at the same time. 4) Read IndianaMat.com while keeping your fingers strategically placed on the Alt+Tab keys. 5) When you hear your boss walking by, quickly engage the Alt+Tab function to switch back to the screen containing your real work while looking stressed and extremely busy.
  2. Oooh! You've really thought this through! Pretty good point, actually. Plan on keeping it that close, huh?!
  3. Whew! It's hard to predict this one. You didn't mention Hamilton Heights placing??? As I've been looking over the board the past few weeks, they've been finishing up the season pretty strong. It also looks like Highland and Noblesville duked it out this past week! I think the score was 37-37, with Highland winning on 5th criteria. My predictions, however are... 1) Pendleton Heights 2) Hamilton Heights 3) Anderson Highland
  4. Thanks for the update, Coach. I know it takes a lot of time to put these in! Not like you have anything else to do!
  5. I love to hear stories like these. It's good to have a few of these stories in our back pockets when we need to encourage our JV guys to stick with it... and the Freshman that have the misfortune of wrestling in the middle to upper weights and can't seem to get a break all year long.
  6. That is ridiculous... especially considering that Evansville has such great wrestling. I think your post, at the minimum, would be a great letter to the editor.
  7. 1. Yorktown 295.5 2. Pendleton 193.5 3. New Palestine 188 4. Rushville 154 5. Mount Vernon 146.5 6. Greenfield 118 7. Shelbyville 92 8. Delta 71.5
  8. Geez! So much for not putting a target on an underdog's back! I was hoping no one would notice that! Andrew's been wrestling really well and is definitely pumped for conference. But... as I am sure all of these guys are aware... it is not going to be an easy day!!
  9. Hilarious! I can see the wheels probably started spinning the moment you read the post - trying to figure out how you could program it! And true... only a self-proclaimed nerd would have given it more than a 10 second thought!
  10. Looks like Mosier's been alternating between 152 and 160 this year. If he goes 160, it sure would be fun to see a Todd-Mosier match up!
  11. 112 is going to be killer. Cody Stewart from Rushville, Steve Gonzales from Delta, and Devon Jackson. This weight class is going to have to wrestle hard and tough to end up on the podium. What other weight classes are going to be interesting?
  12. Matt Todd - 160 lbs. Still undefeated for Pendleton
  13. I agree. PHHS has been looking "up" to Hamilton Heights and Anderson Highland for a few years now. Noblesville definitely needs to be taken into consideration too. They gave Pendleton a close call at the Super 6. The interesting thing is, you can actually feel the camaraderie between all these teams, when they're all in the stands together. I'm very grateful for this "friendly" rivalry!
  14. From what I recall, Ham Heights only beat Pendleton Heights by 1/2 point at Connersville. Not sure what the Ham Heights line up was that day - but Pendleton's HW was out w/ an injury, so we put in a first-timer, noticeably small, Freshman in at HW for that tournament, who did an outstanding job -but it could have gone in the record books a little differently on any given day! Don't count Pendleton out of the Honorable Mention category! We're excited to be there, and would like to see a number assigned to the name at some point! We'll see you again at sectionals HH! ;D (And if anyone knocks my sentence structure or grammer, I'll knock ya into next Tuesday w/ a raslin momma slap!)
  15. I'll be interested to see em wrestle at the Hoosier Heritage Conference tourney next weekend. Other schools that will be there will be New Palestine, Mt. Vernon Fortville, and Pendleton Heights. There will be some weight classes that will be worth the price of a State finals ticket. Yorktown is definitely one of the teams that anyone would be proud to beat! Their talent runs deep.
  16. BTW... I obviously know that Pendleton and Tipton are going to be there!
  17. Anyone know what teams are going to be at Tipton this weekend? I'm also trying to recall whether this is a seeded individual tourney, or whether it's duals.
  18. Anyone know if Sara Schletweg (sp?) from Rushville is still wrestling. She has always been pretty tough.
  19. McCarthy was 119 last night at the Pendleton/Mt. Vernon dual.

  21. Hoosier Heritage Conference (HHC) Pendleton Heights New Palestine Yorktown Shelbyville Delta Mt. Vernon (Fortville) Greenfield Central Rushville
  22. Congratulations New Pal! You guys were very impressive Saturday - very solid team!
  23. Does anyone know the results of the New Pal - New Castle match? Last saw, it was a tie - but I didn't get to stick around long enough to find the results of the tiebreakers.
