Kieffer beat Johns at Connersville but he did not handle him. The match was high scoring and just some crazy scrambles. This weight class (as nearly everyone has said) is loaded from top to bottom. AJ (Johns) has improved each week since the loss back in December and is peaking at the right time. Who knows what will happen but my top 4 prediction is: Johns, Eppert, Wright, Brooks.

8th graders coming up: 189 - Wright ( he is a Boots) 4rd at MSST in 195 Hwt - Schapker (1st year wrester ) 7th at MSST in 195 140 - Schneider 2nd at MSST 150 - Schoettlin - 3rd at MTTS Schroeder, Collins, Parkinson, and Staggs all had tough brackets, but thats what makes you better and stronger and thats just the ones who could go! so as Matchick said so the future looks good with a great group of up and comning kids and their great coackes that they had this year. you'll remember thier names -- Mackes and Martin ____________________________________________________________________________________ Wow - nice size 8th graders......I'm sure Coach Goebel and the football faithfull are licking their chops!

Very impressive 152 class in the area - 5 guys within 2 points of each other. Pettijohn winning the first round of regionals in O.T. and moving on to state supports this statement. As far as Pettijohn beating Weiss in the semis at Semistate - it appeared that Weiss thought he had the lead as the match ended? I was sitting near some Castle fans who thought the same thing. -
I agree with Alduflux - making the semis a "next available mat format".

Rankingsguy, My only gripe is that you didn't send out your preview fast enough. I spent an hour or so last night (with my red marker) identifying the ranked wrestlers and working on my bracket (first draft of many!)

The princeton coach may hold the record for the fastest walk to the scorer's table. He wastes no time but it is technically a walk and not a run. I love it!!

Since being diagnosed by Bluebolt with "Delusional Jon H Syndrome" - I've had this vision of 2 Reitz champs -> 103 Kuhn and 119 Johns. 8)

Stein has to be the #1 ranked 10 year old in the country He looks soooo young but definitely doesn't wrestle like it. I'm very impressed with this young man.

For the 152 weightclass out of the Castle Regional it would matter who the alternate is? There is not 2 points difference between the top 5 guys - Princeton, Heritage Hills, Castle, Reitz and Mater Dei. MD was the odd man out losing in sudden victory 3-2 to Castle in the first round. However, the alternate would be Memorial since he lost to the eventual champ Princeton.

Bluebolt, It is the Evansville Reitz Semi-State. My daughter will be passing out the awards......even to the Castle Champs Are you wearing your Jon H is looking for me T-shirt tomorrow? ;D

If MD and Castle keep the same line-up as used in the Sectionals - here is my prediction: 103: MD - Maj Dec 112: CA - Dec 119: MD - Dec 125: MD - Maj Dec 130: CA - Maj Dec 135: MD - Dec (toss up) 140: MD - Dec (slight favorite) 145: CA - Dec (toss up) 152: CA - Dec (toss up) 160: MD - Maj Dec 171: CA - Dec 189: CA - Dec (solid favorite - will be close to bonus points) 215: CA - Dec (solid favorite - but no bonus points) 285: MD - Dec (toss up) I believe this is 24-22 MD / any change to bonus points or the toss up matches will swing the match.
