  1. Oh yea I was surprise to see kral gas at the end. Kral was in on a deep shot right off the bat which is the crazy thing about Robinson is he ia such a good scrammbler. I think kral/Regean is going to be a good match
  2. Hopefully Halsted is healthy. This is the match I'm looking toward to the most in the first rd.
  3. Yea tough dad and will have some good coaches in corner.
  4. Zach Sandefer Merrillvile is under rated a returning state qualifier who started the year off unranked but goes put and battles for 6 minutes plus everymatch avenged 2 losses to Katsaforas and had a awese match with Fuqua at the cp/merr dual. I would say Hughes is the favorite to advance out of his bracket since Hughes has a win over him. Or Josh Juarez 2 back to back tight matches with Martsoff 1 win an a over time loss
  5. I'm sure Ullrey will go up and give it is all. Tsirtsis is the best in the state but he doesn't get a free ticket. Good luck
  6. Trevino is tough and is having a good freshman year
  7. I wouldnt say that. Kral dug a double under and Robinson took him to his back A couple times it could have been back too. Robinson also scored on a front head lock off of krals shot. Robinson is only going to get better. He has former Calumet coach Sean begley working with Begs also wrestled at the citadel so a group with Josh Morgan and begs a 6'5 heavy will make anyone better
  8. The most under rated big name with out a doubt is Ayersman kid has2 losses 2 titles and he get no love on the pound 4 pound guys without titles are put ahead of him. Pound 4 pound wise I say Kyle.
  9. That's wierd usually when a post goes it takes sometime to take it down
  10. I wouldn't say Bradley is a darkhorse I was thinking maybe someone unranked or a guy outside of the top 10
  11. I would say every weight except 145 is block with 138 being as closer a lock as you can get. 106 Boston v Micic: the match was tight last year with micic weight under 103 then he put in a lot of work and went out and won Fargo. 113 Brooks v James v Phillips: Phillips only loss being a out of state loss he defeated James at the Indianamat open and then you have James the super freshman from Perry 120 Todd/Campbell/ petrov/welch all 4 are tough as nails petrov had a close match with Todd in the semi's last year and has been under the lights Cambell is all American and was about 30 seconds from a title last year and welch is just tough trying to 1 up his brothers 126 Ayersman v Phillips worth the price alone how many time do we get to see a 2x champ and a 3rd wrestle a 2x champ and a 3rd 132 McKinley v molloy a battle of 2 guys who could have been named OW at state last year 152 the top 5 guys are all right there for a title it is a sick weight maybe a darkhorse comes out of nowhere and takes it 160 Harvey Johnson steveson the super freshman whose only loss is to the best kid in the state. But can he take down 2 seniors with alot of experience in Indy Just for a few I really excited
  12. I wouldn't say it would be a upset maggert has beat hall before maggert will have a tough match with Blake Ford
  13. These are mostly just saying these will be good matches more than upsets
  14. If this a sown year for the region, I'll take it we are still going to have a 3x and 4x out there. With a tough freshman and sophomore class the future looks bright hopefully we can create some depth.
  15. Good luck she got the draw. Outside of micic I think she competes with every other regional champ. I'm a fan. I would love to see the formula. This is still the merrillville semi state and one of the toughest weights to say Ervin Truver are push overs is crazy both come from the tough DAC. I don't know much about Davis from laf Harrison. Good luck I hope she pulls it out.
  16. Crown Point 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 145, 152 160, 182, 195 220 285 with 8 Champions
  17. it happens every year who are some of the 4's who can Knock off some 1's?? Merrillville 285 4) Dozier SB Riley over 1) Swope CP Dozier is a AL Smith Champs 145 4) White SB Washington over 1) Hollins Merrillville 145 4) A. Katsaforas Chesterton over 1) Clark Laf Harrison 145 4) Ringen Rennselear over 1) Tsirtsis Crown Point ****Not Really 138 4) Ben Varner Penn over 1) Vasquez Hobart 132 4) Osborn Penn over 1) Mavros Lowell Kinda a stretch but Osborn is tough 132 4) Halsted Crown Point over 1)McHugh CMA when Halsted shows up he can wrestle with anyone 120 4) Gallo Valpo over 1) Denton Twin Lake Denton has beat him once but Gallo is funky and can create some match up problems 113 4) Vandas Lake Central over Corcoran Logansport 106 4) Miricle CMA ove r 1) Davis Laf Harrion
  18. OTR's SEMI STATE PICKS 106 1. Micic Hanover Central 2. Peek Portage 3. Garza Merrillville 4. Miricle CMA 113 1. Brooks Warsaw 2. Brodie Merrillville 3. Schurg CP 4. Davidson Chesterton 120 1. Berry Merrillville 2. Skipper SB Adams 3. Allan SB Clay 4. Langbehn Crown Point 220 1. Robinson Lake Central 2. Gallegos SB Clay 3. Kral Crown Point 4. Nickson Merrillville HWT 1. Hall Breman 2. Maggert Penn 3. Kaplanis Wawasse 4. Dozier SB Riley
  19. CP Just Lost to the 106 from Lake Central so he has to win that one first Miricle would be the favorite
  20. Wilson will have to get past Belden to get to Harvey. Harvey v Belden should be a good rematch
  21. I know Everyone is giving Sliga the title(like last year) but I think the top 3 here can go either way. I know Sliga won cadet nationals and is 2x 3rd placer. Berry was 5th losing to the champ1-0 in the quarters. I don't know if he has gone 6 minutes all year. Then the dark horse Maurer a great athlete with a wrestling pedigree who is undefeated.
  22. Merrillville Regional champs- 106, 113, 120, 132, 145, 152, 160, 170, 195 Runners up- 182 220 285
  23. It looks like a good job by the semi state rankings guy
