I don't feel as you were stirring the pot at all coach Peck all I want to know is if he weighs anywhere between 162.1 and 175 even at conference this week and wrestles 189 will he be able to wrestle 171 next week at sectionals does this sound correct

Duck is going 189 for conference at the coaches request.It's kinda like taking one for the team scenario.Mike has had 29 actual matches this season with 28 falls and 1 tech fall 3 of those matches were at 189.Individually the tec title is not that important as a team it is.Also this gives Mike the opportunity to wrestle some better competition maybe before he starts the state tourney.Hound 133 the way Coach Briggs explained it to me was as along as Mike doesn't weigh in more than 175 this week He can still go 171 at sectional next week.Which is exactly what I got from Coach Pecks post/question when he says within 2 and 1/2 pounds of 173 which would be 175 and 1/2 Coach Peck is one of the big wigs in the IHSWCA coaches association and has been involved in Indiana wrestling for several years I would say he knows what he's talking about.Someone who knows what the exact ruling on this please chime in and give us all some clarity. Or maybe Mike goes ahead and weighs in above 175 and wrestles 189 the rest of the year.Boy what a bunch of nutty nutty craziness the TEC seeding meeting has brought upon us. Now I'm going to have to go back and edit my post with my predictions

Yeah that was pretty much the story that I got from the boys after the football game Tecpatriot I think that was probably their strategy going into the game to try to ruffle duck's feathers so to speak.Problem is is that Mike like Me doesn't get to excited to often I told Mike to talk some smack back when He wrestled Fletcher back at the spartan classic but Mike decided not to He just did his job shook hands and moved on.I was probably more proud of him for that then I was for him winning the tourney because I felt He showed more class that way(more than me even)They said that coach Day was even talking the wrestling smack during the football game but that was just hear say from the boys and I was in the stands that night.After Mike's run at conseco last year Coach Day had nothing but good things to say about Mike on the old forum and for that I am forever grateful to the man I have probably spoke less than 10 words to Coach Day and do not know him personally but I can say this My dealings with him have always been pleasant.Also I have gotten to know a few of the Centerville families in my years that I have been involved with this great sport such as Dana and Jeff Uphaus, Mrs.Cook Tom Rohe,Daryl King and his brother Dallas from Hagerstown and can tell you they are all first class people.Heck Tom and Daryl were the first guys who introduced Mike to freestyle wrestling when he joined their club back in 4th grade.And you know how the saying goes summer wrestling makes for winter champions so I would have to say that centerville wrestling has played a big role in Mike's success as well as a few other quality wrestlers that came from and will continue to come from Union County.And last as conference rivalry's go things sometimes get heated up when we do battle in whatever sport and thats just the nature of the competetive beast. There are people from Union County (me included I can't believe that I'm admitting this)that act just as bad as people from Centerville, Winchester, Tri, or wherever when they get caught up in the excitement of the moment and thats O.K.they're just being competetive.If we didn't have these type of people (like me) It would make the world a pretty dull place.But I can tell you this as far as wrestling fans in the Tec go when it comes time for the run to state we cheer for all the kids no matter what school they come from and it's always been that way and will continue to be I will Cheer and root just as hard for Adam Chalfant and any other kid out of the TEC just as I would for Mike and did so for kids like Glisson, Pipenger, Brown,and Rohe and King in the past.And I know they pulled for our kids too.That's one of the things that makes this little conference so great.So if you want to get me involved in a Pi$$ing match with Centerville you can count me and mine out.

Former 130 what part of a CLOSE SECOND don't you understand! I mean if I had to rank high school sports from toughest to weakest cross country is second in my opinion.Have you ever ran 3.1 miles as fast and as hard as you could up hills and through creeks until you puked.Like I said only other sport where I have seen several athletes totally exhausted and puking after it's over Tecpatriot back me up on this one. Little old Union County in the little old weak TEC conference(so it has been told to us by Former 130 on a different thread) has a kid who is just a frosh this year(that means he's a freshman in high school Former)that has won numerous national events in his age division and also a marathon that was televised in Indy and the announcers thought he was in college when he came down the home stretch you should of seen their faces when he told them he was only 14. You will hear alot about this fine young man in the years to come.I won't give you his name but we all know him as T.J. and if your game Former strap on your running shoes and give this kid your best shot and if you can keep up I'm sure you will find that cross country can be pretty darn grueling and you will have earned the right to call my statements crazy you don't even have to win just keep up.My moneys on T.J.

The big TEC tourney is at Union City this year on the 24th of jan. and the kid from Northeastern is Cody Becker pretty sound Fundamental wrestler he wins 52 or 60 easily also don't forget about the Leeka's from TRi I heard the younger one got beat by Terhar any have the score of that one. The older one just might put a wrench in somebody's plans too I think. Anybody know actual weights for all the kids I know Union County's but if I know some of the other schools definates I can give you my picks .Tecpatriot I wrestled for 3 years at Harrison High in Ohio 8th through 10th grades and I can Honestly say toughest sport bar none with cross country taking a close second.Only 2 sports where I have witnessed several different athletes throw up after or during competition and not because they were sick with the flu or something.More later

This is a pretty cool feature Y2 just kind of a bummer though when it's your son gettin the crap kicked outta of him in the video LOL maybe you could fix it so when I click on this topic I see a different video. If you look at him right after the hand shake you know the meaning of the agony of defeat.Seriously though it's o.k. cause I know He gave it his best effort and I'm real proud of him.I talked to Andrew out on the street right before the finals and told him that it was an honor to have my son wrestling him in his very last high school match ever.

Where did you find those results from last years brute showcase Duck did beat that kid from Jersy last year but it was in come from behind fashion 8-6 in o.t. He also beat Saulle from Jersy also I believe by a pretty good margin and Saulle got 3rd at the Super 32 this year.Duck was going to go to the Super 32 this year but we messed up and signed him up for his S.A.T.'s that day.
